“Great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2014 via mobile

Stayed here in june with family of 2 adults and three kids. Stayed on ground floor 2 bed apt. Very good location. While in need of updating the apts are sufficient and cleaning regime second to none. All staff reception, cleaners, pool bar cannot be praised enough. Special mention for night security man martin who was very helpful to us. Only downside is the number of cats mooching around. Not a problem if you are not on ground floor though and would not prevent me from returning

Just returned from 10 days at these apartments. They are spacious and clean. Towels changed and apartment cleaned every second day, beds changed every fourth day. Decor very fresh, furniture dark wood but beautifully hand made, beds very comfortable. Staff very helpful. Location excellent close to everything but still quiet. Will return to these apartments next holiday in Lanzarote.

Just back from a weeks stay here. We found it very quaint and authentic in its decor some say dated but hey ya get what ya pay for. The beds were very comfortable, clean sheets, clean towels and a nice big lounge area and balcony. Housekeeping called a couple of times in the week bringing clean towels and sweeping and mopping. On arrival check in was quick and easy with a bottle of red awaiting in the room to help start the week in style. Bread buns were left daily which is a nice touch also. The pool area was kept clean and tidy. I didnt have an issue with people reserving sunbeds as there were plenty and also lots with shade. The location is brilliant, close to the square, restaurants, cafes and a nice walk to the beach and the spar is also in close proximity. The only problem is there are a lot of cats which ppl feel the need to feed bit in fairness they do not come close to you unless enticed over. Would not hesitate to rebook here.

Just had a week at Mansion Nazaret and have returned home nicely relaxed. The location was perfect for us, just a short walk to loads of bars and restaurants that will suit all tastes. We ate at a different restaurant each night and every meal was very good.
The reception is pleasant and the staff very friendly and helpful. There are three pool areas available, so take your pick - the holidaymakers need to stop "reserving" the sunbeds with their towels though, and there are signs telling them that this is forbidden. I was there to chill out, so I resisted complaining, and chose to go to a different pool. All pool areas are fairly clean and well maintained.
The room we had was 2526 which, on the whole was very nice. Was a bit disappointed that the balcony overlooked the road instead of the pool, but it was a good size with a table and chairs. In the lounge area there was a comfortable sofa facing a large flat screen TV with enough channels. The kitchen is okay to prepare snacks, but you would struggle to cook a meal with the limited equipment. Just one saucepan and a frying pan. Three teaspoons, three knives and three forks mean that you have to keep up with the washing up! The fridge was very efficient - we turned it to full power and it froze most of the contents in no time!
This was a self catering holiday and I would have appreciated a small welcome pack of grocery items (small jar of coffee/sugar/salt/washing up liquid...the sort of things you don't want to buy in large quantities for just a week) instead of the complimentary bottle of wine (which was very nice, by the way). To have a dishcloth or scourer would be handy too.
The bathroom was not good. The puny shower head and the hairdryer were comical. Lots of cracked tiles and not very well cleaned. The chambermaids are lovely girls, but they seem rushed. With tiled floors throughout there is a need to sweep then mop. They just mop, and move the dirt and hair around.
The bed was kingsize with a memory foam mattress. The headboard was wooden and very loose, banging against the wall with the slightest movement.

I've been fairly critical in this review, but I've come home happy with my stay. The price was low to stay at the Mansion Nazaret, and if I couldn't afford to upgrade to something better next time I would not hesitate to stay there again.

A pretty hotel in a good location, rooms are nicely decorated and look like you've paid a lot more for them than you have! Good location, near to all the shops etc. Self catering facilities not really up to much, couple of hobs and a microwave, no spatula or anything.. no proper bowls either, but we managed despite the very small space to cook in! Friendly staff and helpful receptionists, a good pool bar, pretty efficient cleaners. Really lovely pools, choice of 3 and are all clean and looked after well. There are cats everywhere but that doesn't bother me personally. Most rooms have their own balconies but some have a big shared balcony with your own tables for eating outside. There are safes in the room but they cost quite a lot to use, think it was 25 euros. Overall I would recommend it for a relaxing budget hotel with a traditional style (lots of wood) and in a good central location.

I have just got back from 5 nights at this hotel. when reading the very different reviews before i was not sure what to expect but the place was great. my girlfriend and I had a 2 bedroom apartment and it was very big. a nice balcony lounge and dining area a small kitchen. 2 nice size bedrooms and a bathroom.
it was very clean and basic and like other reviews it could do with updating especially in the bathroom but it did the job.
also i was not sure what it would be like in June with no air conditioning but it was fine as there was always a breeze so once you open the windows it kept the temperature down.
when you arrive you get a complimentary bottle of wine in the room and every morning rolls are left on your door which i felt was a nice touch.
there was always plenty of sun beds around the pool and the pool bar is open between 12pm and 4pm which did not charge silly prices.
we stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and the breakfast was better than i thought from reading of the reviews on here.
you had a choice of frut/croissants/toast and then cheese and ham and then on the cooked side you had eggs they ranged from scrambled/fried and boiled one choice every day/bacon/sausages and beans
As you walk in there are the Nazaret apartments which did look nice and from talking to people some of them have been refurbished so i think they are doing this for the whole complex but not sure on completion so we are going to go back next year and book them rather than the Mansion Nazaret as they did look nicer
it is ideally located as just a few yards away you had a Spar and a few shops and plenty of bars and restaurants.
there is a fab indian just over the road which i would highly recomend if you like that sort of thing.
some of the bars in the Square which are just opposite do have happy hours so makes it very cheap to drink
just outside there is Tekkers which is a family run bar and restaurant which is nice and a good atmosphere and if you are in to that sort of thing and you are going soon are showing all the world cup games
i would recommend a private transfer from the Airport rather than a shared shuttle as i did the private transfer took 15 mins but i heard quite a few people say that they took upto an hour in a coach. just a little tip
i personally would recommend that you change money out there as there are a couple of exchange places and where i got 1.18 to the £ they were doing them for 1.22.and 1.23 with no commission
also if you smoke tobacco or cigs then there are a couple of Duty Free places that work out cheapper than the airport which are just a walking distance away
the beach is just about a 5 mins walk but warning they do not have sun beds as the hotels along the front have not paid the people that run them the rent (not sure what the arrangement is there) and because of that they have all been removed.
there are lots of bars and restaurants in the Square and alot of them have entertainment on a Friday night there is a pretty good market so worth a visit
So as a summary my friend and I will be looking to be going back next year and i felt it was good value for money

Room Tip: we stayed in room 2411 which was on the first floor

After reading some other reviews we decided to give this place a go mainly because of the location. Good points ,its central ,large very well equipped room without being charged for everything ,clean ,quiet ,attractive grounds ,comfy beds for a change ,wine on arrival ,bread rolls on your door each morning (if the neighbour doesn't nick em) Bad points .... Not many ....rooms are a little tired decor wise ,some tlc would make the rooms much better and increase the popularity of the hotel , reserving sunbeds should be stopped as majority of our stay very few people actually used them even though they were out at the crack of dawn with the towels .... And yes its the brits ....only other big bad point disabled access is non existent throughout the hotel with many many steps all through the hotel grounds etc only a few ground floor apts in the newer Nazaret apt block have been allocated for disabled users .....top tip we actually preferred the older Mansion Nazaret side ,be sure to request a pool view .or you could end up overlooking a road and construction area .On the whole very good hotel to stay at excellent value for money and would deffo use again for a future visit .
