“It's alright”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

We had a family holiday here in October. Weather was great and the hotel was ok. The room was clean, bright and spacious, there were cooking facilities available if required and a safe was available for a fee. However, you're not really on holiday for the room.......

Couldn't help but feel that you needed to be close to your family to lay by the pool as we were all almost touching while lying in the sun! While nobody likes the 6am sunbed hoggers, the hotel's policy of locking up the sunbeds until 10am each morning made us feel like children and caused nothing less than a stampede when the 'chains were released'!

The food was edible but boring - unfortunately our previous holiday experiences have probably spoiled us...I know that isn't the hotel's fault, but on a pound for pound basis this place just doesnt compare favourably. Costa teguise itself is a quiet place with some great bars and restaurants. I'm sure it's busier at peak times but was very quiet when we were there.

Drinks were all local brands - plentiful and strong - take care with the amount you have! Bar staff were all very pleasant.

We have been fans of the all inclusive holiday for at least 10 years but, depending on where we've been, have watched the quality of these establishments go right downhill! While offering a mediocre holiday experience, they're also to blame for the demise of the 'holiday resort'. This hotel is no different. Don't go there unless you've spending money to go out and enjoy the local area with or you'll go stir crazy!

At around £400 per week, I'd suggest you save a little longer, spend £500 per week and go to the Dominican Republic instead!

We went for two weeks all inclusive and were very pleased. our apartment was light, airy and roomy and everything worked. The room was quiet and on the second floor(beware there are no lifts) and enjoyed the sun on the balcony for the whole day. The food was all buffet style and was extremely good both in terms of quality and variety. The drink was plentiful and readily available. Only niggles were that you had to hire a kettle, cushion for the sunbeds or towels for the pool, and the room cleaning, towel changing system seemed somewhat random. All in all a very good package well worth the money.

I believe you get for what you pay for, and this hotel is no exception.
I would rate it as a good 2 star, not quite a 3 star, but the value for money is good.
The most important part of an All Inclusive holiday for me is the food, which really let the place down. A lot of repetition every meal, but there is always something edible. The chicken curry and lamb chops were the best of a bad bunch. They seem to struggle when it gets busy, lack of cutlery and crockery. Also there is no fizzy drinks downstairs, and stay away from the rose wine (I think it's white wine with whiskey!) The staff down there appear to be going through the motions, but I expect that's because they are not working for tips.
Snacks are poor, you can only get hot snacks from 1-3pm and they aren't great. The sandwiches are prepacked and not great.
Now onto the rooms. They are basic, but clean. As ever the water pressure is low, and actually went off completely a few times. Shower curtain is a bit manky. No double beds (are there ever) and I don't think the sheets are changed every 2 days, they just make the bed. Also you sleep on a horrid plastic sheet.
Dani behind the bar was probably the most pleasant member of staff. You only get the little plastic cups, which I'm sure is to stop you drinking. (They ask you not to wash the towels unless really needed for the 'environment', but will happily give you 30 little plastic cups a day!) The bingo is the best evening entertainment, but there is also a show on most nights that is pretty average. Although we didn't use the 'animation' team they seemed friendly, and the lead woman looked like Karen Allen of Indiana Jones fame!
Around the pool was fine, but I can imagine it gets tight when busy. They charge 1.50 euros for a pad for your sun-lounger, as ever trying to get more money out of you. There is an annoying 'sun care adviser' that comes round when sunny, trying to sell you stuff. The pool bar is not great, and the older Spanish people are unbelievably rude.
As someone has mentioned before, unfortunately not before I went, there is no gym/fitness suite, and now they have taken this off the description.
I would not return to this hotel, but for what you pay it's not bad.

Room Tip: Top floor is best. Don't drink the rose wine.

Just came back from this hotel on Saturday and everythng was fine. The only negative comment is that the entertainment is mainly for the Spanish holidaymakers rather than the English holiday makers. There was always plenty of choice foodwise although the plastic cups are not good in the entertainment lounge.

Room Tip: Try and get B block the sun shines directly onto the balcony
