Just returned from our second holiday at Norida Beach. This is the first holiday that we can actually say we had absolutely no complaints. Staff were wonderful, hotel was spotlessly clean and although the food was not gourmet (what can you expect for the price), it was tasty, well presented and offered something for every taste. we were lucky enough to get a sea view room in the main hotel and the views were wonderful. We look forward to a third holiday at Norida Beach.

We stayed here for a week at the tail end of the Whitsun half term and has a fantastic time. Can't understand why there are so many bad reports, did they stay at the same hotel as us????
From the minute we set foot in hotel to the minute we left found the staff to be friendly, helpful and so hard working.
We had a family room just up the hill by the water park which had a great view out to sea towards the island of Nissyros (if you get chance go on the trip to Nissyros go it was a super day out, traditional Greek villages and a surreal walk into the crater of the volcano)
Our room had all we needed, although the beds weren't the most comfy, but this was only a week after all. Mini bar re-filled every 2nd day, room cleaned every day too.
the food was lovely, so much choice at each meal no matter what your taste/age etc. the cakes are just to die for, hence I no longer need a belt on my jeans!!!
the pools are a little chilly, but the kids loved them, and once your in then you don't notice it so much. The main pool was busy but we tended to sit around the water park or go to the beach where we had no trouble getting a lounger, make sure you have some sturdy flip flops or beach shoes as the shingle is quite hard on your feet.
The evening entertainment was quite good, obviously they aren't putting on West End shows, but no one took themselves to seriously, yes they mimed but it was quite comical and they all work so hard. therie tended to be italian themed entertainment at the little stage by the main bar and then English/German/Russian over in the theatre by the waterpark, ideal to be honest as there was plenty of room with a sliding roof, not to the same scale as Wimbledons new centre court roof, but would be a welcome relief at the height of summer.
Our girls (9 & 4) loved the mini club each afternoon, they really made a fuss of the kids and became good friends.
The main lobby area has about 30 giant sofa's which are great for lounging with a drink after dinner.

I could go on & on as we really loved this hotel and would definatley reccommend that you go, we would certainly return.

We did catch the bus into Kardamena and to be honest it was a bit of a dive, I am so glad we didn't stay there, although our girls love their 'tat' shops for bracelets etc. Mind you we found that the shop inside the hotel was very reasonable and well stocked for little gifts.

Please don't take any notice of the bad reviews, i know we all like different things, but you will love this hotel!!

We (my husband & i) stayed at the Norida beach Hotel in Kos in may 2009. Beautiful Hotel, very clean and brilliant value for money. The Hotel is All Inclusive and well worth the money the food was lovely and the menu changed a little each day, the food was fresh and cooked in front of you. The Chinese resturant was really nice but you have to book asap (however you can only book up to 2 days in advance) and were use to all you can eat! You coild only have one starter,main,rice/noodles and you sorta felt they were pushing you out the door.

The service in the hotel was good the rooms were cleaned everyday and the mini bar restocked every second day. The beach bar was always busy but you could get basically anything you wanted to drink. The only thing we could complain about is that we were given small plastic cups but the german guests were given pint glasses. When my husband ask for a pint glass the bar man said no! He had to stay at the bar if he was having a glass however the Germans could take theirs to the sunloungers! I asked the bar man to fill my 5OOml plastic bottle with water he said no i had to have a cup??? however he filled a german ladies bottle with cocktails??????

We went the week before half term, the hotel was busy but as the rep said there was 5000 people on Kos that week their would be 48000 in June! im not sure the hotel could cope with it being any busier.

Its a really nice hotel with good enetertainment, lovely swimming pools and food but we sort of got the feeling we'd be treated better if we were German?!

Don’t go on holiday to this place if you want a 4* hotel; at best it’s 2*.

The reason we chose this hotel was because it was advertised as 4* all inclusive. When we booked it we specifically asked for a room with a double bed, as opposed to 2 x singles, and a sea view.

When we got to the Norida Beach hotel we were allocated a room outside the hotel. We told Reception that we booked a room in the hotel but they said they had a block booking of 200 Russians so we couldn’t be fitted in. We mentioned that we specifically booked a room in the hotel with a double bed and sea view, but they would not compromise. Whilst the room was only 300 metres away it was up a hill. Once in the room it was quickly apparent that it was not a 4-star hotel. It was like Butlins 15-years ago, basic and worn. The single / twin-beds in the room were covered in a cheap throw and on wooden slats which were few and far between. We were later to establish that with fewer slats you have a less comfortable bed because they dig into you. Moving onto the rest of the room, the bathroom taps were old and rusty and we had no shower gel or shampoo – but apparently you don’t get that in a 4* hotel in Kos! The TV didn’t work and the window shutters did not close.

The water in the shower was only warm and twice during our stay it didn’t work at all. It was only a ghastly brown colour on two occasions. Obviously we reported all these problems to Reception but they didn’t do anything for a few days. We spoke to many other tourists who were equally annoyed with their location and the lack of service being provided. It was also apparent that the Reception staff were not enjoying the situation they found themselves in…!

The reason that Reception was full of English complaining tourists appeared to be because all the best rooms had been allocated to the Russians and customers from the partner hotel Summer Palace – which is located further up the hill and supposed to be 5*. When they left the hotel the Receptionists started to reallocate the rooms and we were relocated to the actual hotel. So, was that the end of our woes? Far from it. At 01:15 that night there were new arrivals next door. That’s right new arrivals turn up in the middle of the night and are integrated with existing holiday makers. Our neighbours were young, excitable and, of course, noisy. That was until 02:15….We then slept from 02:30 until 06:45. At 06:45 the cleaners start work and the restaurant kicks into life. They were banging around, talking and making a constant noise from the movement of industrial linen trolleys/containers moving across the tiled floors. If you want to avoid this make sure you don’t get a room in the low hundreds. Also, make sure you don’t get a room at the other end of the hotel because there’s building work up there and, apparently, they start work at around 06:00.

After 3 days of this we’d had enough and asked for another transfer. This time Reception were really helpful and transferred us straight away. We went back up the hill to a room near to where we were before. This time it was cleaner and had a really good sea view. It was still basic but it was pleasant (although still not 4*). We had a really good nights sleep – no noise or disturbances. The resolution was too late; it was time to go home later that day.

Our thoughts on other things: The outdoor complex, pools and views are excellent – which is probably where the hotel gets its 4* rating – the entertainments team are poor (unless you like the Birdie song and Hokey Kokey every night), the food was good although repetitive and the drinks must be watered down...

On the face of it this hotel looks lovely in the daytime. It’s the rooms, the hotel management and general organisation of the hotel that ruin the holiday experience. There were a huge percentage of people complaining... If you book a 4* hotel you expect a 4* hotel. You don’t expect to be in a room 300 metres away that only has basic amenities. Either this hotel needs to be reclassified or clients need to be made aware of what to expect. It’s all about managing expectation. We were led to believe that this was a lot grander than it was…. Unfortunately it was not the quiet, relaxing holiday that we had hope for.

We have stayed at other mitsis hotels and have not found a bad one yet. We originally booked into the family village hotel but this was shut due tounder occupancy so we were offered the norida beach. we paid £98.50 each for the week so were expecting not a great deal, however ifi had paid £350 for the week i would not have been disappointed. We had a great welcme when we arrived havingread some revues i was expecting the worse. before we arrived i emailed the hotel to request a room on the first floor away from the lifts. This request was honoured. The room was nice and clean and was probably recently refurbed. the beds are not the comfortable although i never had any toruble sleeping. there is ssome building work going on and my room was near to this but again i was not woken by any works The food can be repetative but not if you try everything once and unlike some all inclusive deals you don't have to get your own drinks the waiting staff serve you. the bars had no queues but then the complex was only half full. The pool had plenty of sun beds and we never needed to reserve one. The pool was the only draw back it was very cold. most of the guests were not english since we were with friends we were not bothered about trying to make friends with any one else. The entertainment as in all hotels was tacky but ok if you take it in the spirit of the holiday. Tip if you are going to hire a car walk 100 yards down the beach and hire one for 25% less than in the hotel they will deliver the car to the hotel . Also the taxi fair was only 19 euros so as there were four of us it was alot cheaper and quicker than a prebooked transfer. on the hole a great holiday
