“bargain apartment if you don't mind chavs”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

Me and my girlfriend stayed at the argyri for a week in September last year. We arrived during a power cut and once given our keys had to go and find our room ourselves in the dark. Woke up the next day and had a look at the pool from the balcony, looked great. Went to the nearest shop and could see the beach from there so location is ideal and far enough away from the main beaches of kardamena to avoid the cast of Jeremy Kyle. Room was ok value for money seeing as we got the whole holiday for dirt cheap on ice lolly, however there was a hole in the bathroom floor that leaked a smell of human excrement that would have made me leave if I had paid more for the place. Towels were not changed until a couple of days into our stay, and we had to go and ask for more toilet roll as they never replaced it for us. pool looks nice but didn't go near it because after about 9.30am all sorts of chavvy creatures gathered around it to share stories of how "they were so p****d last night I did a s**t in a glass and drank it" or tales of similar cringe worthy status. Don't get me wrong I'm not a 40 year old turning up at an 18-30s resort and complaining about the youth of today, I'm 26 and my girlfriend is 23 and we both enjoy getting on it and going raving, but when you are subjected to rihanna and flo rida being blasted out around the pool full pelt while morons try to communicate with each other over it, it gets a bit much. Value cheap base to explore the island from but if you enjoy dnb and dubstep forget it because you won't hear any. Beautiful island but shame about the English!

COCKCROACHES in hotel room. Told the manager he laughed. Told the door man he hurled abuse at us. Came back late at 2pm one night, door security was shouting sexual obsceneties to young girls. 18-30 staff not helpful. My phone got robbed in hotel room. 18-30s reps just out to get your money package was useless, entry to bars and clubs was free anyway and we got given cordial scnapps. Waste of money. Only thing good about hotel was location. Not far from hotel.

Stayed at the Argiri hotel from 6th Sept. to 21st Sept. 2012. Ignore any bad reviews you see here. The hotel was clean, great pool, bar and room was fine. Dimitri made me feel welcome the 1st night I arrived till the last night when I left. Emma and Kostas are brilliant hosts!! The hotel had the 18-30 crowd there and I was a bit apprehensive about the noise and drunkenness but they soon got used to me!!!
It was a fantastic two weeks and to be honest I am 53 and joined up with the 50-70 crowd and we showed the youngsters how to party! Artemis on security was great and made sure there was not much noise or disturbance after midnight. Wendy and Pete served a tasty breakfast and are very friendly, which was worth getting up early for.
Hotel is in a great location, beach across the road and town just two minutes away. I would recommend the "Brothers" bar for great music, drinks and friendly staff. Overall this is a great hotel for the price you pay.
Once again thanks to Dimitri, Emma, Kostas, Artemis, Wendy and Pete for making my holiday fantastic!!!!
As Arnie says, "I'll be back".

Nice town and plenty to see and do. However a bad hotel to stay in if you want a good nights sleep, as club 18-30 is here. The rooms were basic. No kettle or basic amenities you would expect. The furniture was in terrible condition and the room needed a lick of paint. The food was overpriced in the hotel for the small portion you received. However there are some decent restaurants very close by. Everyone in the hotel was very friendly and helpful so a real petty about everything else.

myself and 3 other girls came on our first girls holiday here in early august.
We had a fantastic time, and were happy with the situation of the hotel. We were staying in room B - which was really spacious, and the bathroom was adequate, even though the water was rarely warm and it was annoying having to hold the shower head whenever you wanted to wash your hair. But to be honest, that didn't matter!
we paid 239 euros for the club 1830 package, which for our first holiday we were happy to do, otherwise the bars were empty unless you were with a big crowd, mainly because the resort is quite a small one, so the package was a good way to make sure we made the most of the holiday.
We left kardamena to go to a water park one day, which was pretty good, but the pool at the hotel was great, and we spent all the the other days there or by the beach. We could literally see the sea from our apartment, and the bars were less than 2 minutes walk away!

Overall, we all had an amazing time, and felt safe too, everyone was so lovely, and the waiter in the resturant down the road was such a charmer

Definitely would recommend this, but probably more suitable for a first time clubbing holiday, next time we're going to a larger resort.

beware of the cockroaches though! only saw a couple in our room, but it did cause us to scream quite a lot, until we realised they were harmless. Another thing was that the maids barely came to our room, because we were always forgotten about. Also, the air con wasn't fantastic, but it was only about 60 euros in total for the whole week, the cost of one unit.

Myself and two friends shared a one bedroom apartment for the week between 30th August and 6th September.

On arrival we were apprehensive and worried we would be pestered by 18-30s reps as it was through them we booked but were pleasantly surprised. After our welcome meeting at 3.30am we sorted our aircon and safe for the week and went to sleep.

We had a sofa bed and two single beds, a bathroom with shower (which you had to hold yourself,t here was no working hook) and a kitchen/living area with two chairs and microwave etc but we didn't use that.

There was a maid service everyday apart from a Sunday and we were situated in the annex, a building 30 seconds from the main hotel and very quiet.

The staff were pleasant at the hotel and the cafe next to the pool although it was made clear from the off you can't take your own water/juice or food to the poolside but it wasn't dear and we often walked along to the main street, bar street which was a 2minute walk to get lunch and dinner.

Rooms were basic but no complaints although we did buy plastic cups to drink from as the cutlery looks a bit grubby but it definitely suited our purpose. Location was great for the nightlife too and I'd recommend doing it all yourself (bar crawls etc) rather than paying to be taken on them as we saved a fortune and went to the same places!

Room Tip: Request the annex if possible.

What a holiday!
This hotel is fantastic for the price. Very basic, but very clean and provides exactly what you need. Staff are very friendly on arrival and help with any questions, which is always a bonus. However, the safe deposit boxes are located at reception and stay there, which we did not like.

The location of the hotel is superb, with restraunts, shops and bars just metres away. It is rather noisy at night, but what do you expect at an 18-30s paradise! However, the security do keep the noise down and are very reliable and professional in their jobs.

We all had a fantastic holiday, met some great people and the small(ish) bar and pool areas allow you to meet new people and have a great laugh!

Overall, very pleased. Very clean and friendly!
