“Fantastic place, loved it.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2013

From our first day we were made very welcome by Sarah the manager and Christina the bar manager. The place was clean and tidy, the rooms were basic but clean the bed was comfortable. The maids were brilliant. By the second night we met the owners Martina and Althea great girls they would join in at the end of the night in the cocktail bar and party nights. The cook was lovely and her food was brilliant especially the all day breakfast, talk about value for money. We will be back some time in the future. I might even get paid for running the party games lol.

We have just come back from a fabulous weeks holiday with at Sofia's. Made to feel so welcome by Sarah on arrival what a lovely lady. Christina runs the bar and works so hard she is a credit and huge asset to the complex. She made us laugh at ourselves every day with her little observations. We were there with our beautiful daughter and son in law, two grown up sons and my brother. We had rooms together with adjoining balconies, thanks again to Sarah. Our sons got taken by Christina, Martina and Athena at 2 am to a mountain church and were Greek dancing till 3 am with locals. They had a taste of the real Zackynthos life and will never forget it, we have the video to laugh at. We would definitely return. Oh and visit The Shamrock just up the road it
was the best bar around with great staff and live music.
I must mention the great breakfasts cooked by Aphrodite in the kitchen. Fab value and delicious any requests for variations was welcome. The cocktails were varied, colourful and tasty.
Only one thing the showers could do with new heads and attaching on the wall.
Thanks to you all at Sofia's. xx

We have just come back from our 1 week, family holiday in this hotel. On arrival we were greeted by Sarah and shown to our rooms. We had booked an extra family member a room after the original booking and Sarah had managed to get our 4 rooms next to each other! The rooms are basic, and the shower facilities do need updating, but they are fit for purpose and the beds are comfortable. Rooms are air conditioned at an extra cost (€55 for 1 week) and a safe is available at a cost of €25. The bar area is run by Christina and it is brilliant! Christina works very hard, she kept us supplied with cocktails at 2am (or sometimes 3am) and was then up serving breakfast at 8am! The cocktails she makes are amazing and the food is also delicious! The full English breakfast with tea/coffee and orange juice is €5.
We spent a few evenings with Christina, Athena and Martina, and they all kept us entertained and were absolutely lovely! They went above and beyond to ensure we had a brilliant holiday!
During our holiday my Mum celebrated her 50th birthday and Sarah helped me to arrange flowers and our evening out.... She was fantastic and is a credit to the hotel! Nothing seemed too much!
The pool is very clean and there are always sunbeds available. There is a lovely beach just a few minutes walk away and there are lots of amazing restaurants to eat at! I would recommend booking a meal at Essence (I think the food is the best I have EVER had). There is also a fantastic little Irish bar called The Shamrock, just a short walk from the hotel, which is always full and plays some brilliant live music!
I would definitely go back to Sofia's! Their hospitality is unbeatable and the location is perfect! We had an amazing holiday and didn't want to leave!
Thank you Athena, Martina, Sarah and Christina!!!

Just got back from a two week holiday at this brilliant Hotel. Had a nice surprise to see all the changes that they have made since last year. The hotel is always clean and tidy and the rooms are spacious. Pool area is great with plenty of beds and background music(not boom boom music)very relaxing. There is a very well stocked and reasonably priced supermarket attached to the complex which supplied all our needs, the Momma and the sisters run this and they are so obliging and helpful.
Location is perfect,a quiet spot on the main road, but near enough to all the restaurants and bars and the old road which gives easy access to the beaches. Lovely walks around the area. Would recommend paying for air con as it gets really warm in the rooms.
The pool bar has a good range of drinks and meals and Christina is a lovely character behind the bar.Sarah as ever was her charming and helpful self for the two weeks we were there, everyone who works there really works hard to make your stay a good one. Such a relaxing place to be!!!
Thanks for the hugs Sarah & Christina when we left it felt like we were leaving family x We will definitely be back and recommend you to everyone.

Room Tip: Rooms on reception side of building get sun in the mornings when it is not quite so hot

Just back from a wonderful week here. Both Christina and sarah are warm and welcoming and so helpful. The accomadation is basic but clean which is all we need as we don't spend much time in the room. We had already booked to go bck in September and we cannot wait.

Room Tip: Pink block rooms get the morning sun on the balcony

My sister and I have just returned from a weeks stay at Sofia's. Brilliant holiday, everything you could hope for. From the first personal welcome from Sarah to the last big hug from Christina
it was a really chilled holiday. Location is perfect, a quiet spot on the main road near the old road which gives easy access to all the bars and restaurants and a short stroll to the beach. The rooms are basic but very clean and the pool area has plenty of beds and great for relaxing in the day. The pool bar offers a good selection of meals and drinks. The staff are excellent and Christina behind the bar is always there, day and night with her friendly smile and helpful manner.
A note to J and S - Open the oven door!!! Hope to see you next year.
