“Beautiful views at lake Agnes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

We walked up to mirror lake and lake Agnes. It was well worth the hike. The first time we did it, the weather was not great but the following day it was sunny so we did it again and were really pleased that we did. It took about 75 minutes to get up a clearly marked and popular track, and less than an hour to get back down - definitely recommended.

“Hiking at Lake Louise is beautiful! Big Beehive is a must!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2013 via mobile

We hiked to the Agnes Lake Teahouse first. It takes you past Mirror Lake. The service at the Teahouse is horrible and they were out if half the stuff on their menu. If you plan on making this a full day hike, don't plan on being able to get lunch along the way. Being it with you! In sure their tea is great, but after being hit from hiking, a hot beverage was the last thing I wanted. Their lemonade tastes like kool-aid drink mix and is $3 for a small cup. From the Teahouse, there are several trails you can take, but the views from Big Beehive are spectacular. It's well worth the difficult switch-backs to get up to the top of the mountain. You get a great view of Mirror, Agnes and Louise. This hike was one of the highlights of our trip. The hike advised 4 hours, but we took 4:20, not including about 45 min at the Teahouse and 20 min up top taking pictures and enjoying the view.

“Beautiful hike to Agnes Lake”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013

This was the first hike of our vacation. It was a warm day -- Canada Day, actually, so there were probably more people than usual on the trail. This trail is rated moderate; there's enough incline to feel you've gotten a good workout and deserve that treat at the tea house. There are some lovely views of the mountains, and you can see Lake Louise, far below, from Agnes Lake.

“Amazing hike and tea house”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

We did the plain of 6 glaciers hike, which starts from the Chateau Lake Louise. The terrain is flat around the lake itself, and then climbs as you go toward the glaciers. The total length one-way was 6 kilometres, and while it was invigorating, my kids (ages 8, 10 and 13) managed to do it without much problem. There is a good tea house at the end which is well worth a visit. They need to helicopter or carry all of their supplies in and out, but the snacks were excellent. The views were spectacular.

“Hike to the plain of the six glaciers and then beyond”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013

If you come to lake Louise don't miss the great hikes.
We chose to walk to the the plain of six glaciers ,it took us under 2 hours to get there and was of moderate to easy difficulty, the views are stunning. We walked late June on a nice day. Take plenty of water , there is food at the tea house but it will take a while to get there.
This is a hike , not a board walk and it is the mountains so wear sensible study footwear and be prepared, it did turn cold and we were at 2000 metres.
The tea house was lovely.
We returned via the Big Beehive,Lake Agnes and the Mirror Lake.WARNING this was hard ,very hard , it was up hill and it was steep we had to take it very slowly ,you need plenty of water.
But once there it's down hill all the way and the views are stunning.
If you are walking to the Big Beehive we would recommend via the
Plain yes it's hard work but the more direct route looks even harder.
