“Highly recommended!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2014

We were recommended this place whilst out wine tasting on a rainy afternoon at Grant Burge, and they called ahead to check that we could get in. Miranda said it would be no worries, so we headed on down. Service was immaculate, they had put a table aside for us and said that we could order and continue wine tasting while waiting or our meals. Menu was extensive, and all items had recommended wines to complement the meal. Lunch, dessert and drinks were all immaculate, with helpful and friendly staff attending to us at regular intervals. Finished off tasting the fortifieds and walked away happy, full and with an extra bottle or two! Reasonably priced with a warm and intimate setting, perfect for couples or small groups. Would definitely recommend and head back next time we are in the Barossa! Thanks guys.

“Brilliant food and professional service!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2014

We booked an 80th birthday luncheon for 26 people and it could not have gone any better. I booked everything online from interstate, had to change the numbers three times, including the day before the event, but everything went beautifully. The staff got everyone's order correct and delivered it to the right person without having to stand at the end of the table and ask "Who got the pasta." We had two guests arrive almost 2 hours late and they still accommodated them in a very friendly and helpful manner. The food was delicious and the choices suited everyone. The wine should not be overlooked and we will be ordering many cartons in the future, especially the Shiraz Cabernet, the Sav Blanc and Pinot Grigio. The cake menu is also delicious and the price for 26 people was extremely reasonable. I highly recommend this winery to family groups as we ranged from babies to 90 year olds and everyone enjoyed the day.

“OMG YUM!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2014

My partner is from Adelaide and we currently live i Queensland, every time we go back home to Adelaide we make a special effort to go to Lou Miranda Wines and have lunch. Our repeat fav is the Gnocchi with Gorgonzola sauce with walnuts YUM!++ They also made a blue cheese rocket and pear pizza that was the king of all pizza's, sadly, I have seen it on the menu the last few time. They have amazing desserts to top of a awesome lunch as well.
The staff a lovely and very helpful, the wine is beautifully matched to your food and the cellar restaurant is the cherry on top of a great lunch date.

“Fabulous food for a fabulous price!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2014

Stumbled on this place as our original destination was fully booked and what a fabulous surprise.
The restaurant doesn't seem much but we were so pleasantly surprised. It was busy so we ordered dishes to share - pulled pork brioche (entree), scallops with cauliflower purée (entree) and the seafood spaghetti (main).
At first I was a little unimpressed with the pulled pork but once the apple chutney, coleslaw and the horseradish sauce was added I immediately wanted another, I actually asked if they sold the apple chutney!!!! Scallops were perfect but I would ditch the peas used as a garnish, and the spaghetti was absolutely yum.
We decided to have a dessert as we were so impressed with the meal we had shared, after much debate we chose the orange custard filled doughnuts with pistachio ice cream and so glad we did, they were light with so much flavour - another dish I would have happily had another serve of!!!
This meal was yum, service is a little on the relaxed side but staff were extremely friendly and were sure to get our food order through quickly before the big tables started ordering.
This place is definitely on the list for a return visit

“Don't be fooled!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2014

I have looked at the other reviews and pictures and can say that what others experienced is NOT what it was like on my visit.
The service was terrible! The young waitress spent most of her time talking loudly to the chef, which could be heard by all diners and was why we waited some time before being seated on arrival. Once seated we were then told by the young waitress the fish of the day was salmon. When I asked how it came, the waitress looked confused by my question before replying that it came fried. That's it. We asked the other waitress the same question and was told how it came, which sounded good.
The advertising for this place, and pictures on this site make the food look and sound good and we were looking forward to Italian inspired food with freshly made cakes. There were some pasta and pizza on the menu, but the main meals were not Italian at all and were VERY overpriced for what was more like a slightly upmarket pup meal than anything else. There were NO cakes, freshly made or otherwise. Instead there were three heavy deserts to choose from, one of which was sold out (you get told this about 10 minutes after you order it).
Will defiantly not be going back.
