“Great Airport Hotel, Fabulous Owner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2011

I can't imagine a better place to stay for travel from Malpensa. The owner Simon is a gem: eager to help, great sense of humor, quick service to help us drop off our rental car, a short, easy drive to the airport in the morning, and he made dinner reservations for us & drove us back and forth to a fabulous, inexpensive local restaurant. The rooms are clean, elegant in a simple Italian style, and the location is tranquil. A great experience.

We've tried various strategies for sleeping near Malpensa, and this place was great. Easy to find; a straight shot to the airport if you're driving at 4:30 am like we were; extremely helpful proprietor Simone who spoke excellent English; rooms were new, comfy and clean; quiet; and reasonably priced at 95 euros. If you'd like to have one last night with hospitable, charming Italians (instead of a big hotel chain), Hotel Visconti is a wonderful choice.

Note: when you're driving to the hotel, the directions say to exit the Malpensa autostrada at Casorate Sempione. DO NOT get off at the exit marked Sempione. Keep going until you find the one marked Casorate S., which is correct.

The care we received by Simone and his family made our final night in Italy a lovely ending to our vacation. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and had a good, free wifi signal! The staff made returning our car at the airport easy. Simone made arrangements at a local restaurant for our last dinner. It was delicious and so nice to be taken there and picked up when we were finished. Breakfast was very good. Being so close to Malpensa, we were able to sleep a little later. By the time Simone dropped us off at the airport, it felt like we were taken there by a good friend! Forget the big chain airport hotels. Hotel Visconti is the way to go!

This is a new (5 years old) hotel ten minute by car from the Malpensa airport. The place is immaculate; the rooms are quite large with nice bathrooms; the breakfast was simple but very nice (croissants, cakes, bread, jams, fresh fruit, etc.). Simone is a great host --as friendly as can be. He arranged a reservation at a local neighborhood restaurant (mostly locals) that was excellent and inexpensive. There's parking on the premises, very secure (although in this neighborhood I cannot imagine any problems --it's a very nice residential area). There are only about ten rooms, and only three were being used. Made for a nice last night in Italy.

Hotel Visconti was perfect for my overnight stay. 5 Minutes from the airport and yet the Hotel is located in a quiet residential area, you definately feel immediately away from the rush of the Airport. The view from my room was stunning with the Alps in the distance. I could not fault the staff they were so helpful, even finding out the right form of Public Transport I had to get to go to an Exhibition and taking me to the correct Bus stop in the morning at the Airport. The room was very comfortable, stylish and simple. Finally breakfast was lovely with lots to choose from and great fresh coffee. If I was ever to go to Milan again I would make a point of returning.

We found this hotel, by reading the positive reviews on Tripadvisor.

What a great hotel!

It is a small modern family run hotel, set in a quiet residential area.

As soon as we arrived, the owners made us feel very welcome. After our late arrival, it was only a matter of minutes that we were sipping cold beers on their terrace.

The rooms are a good size. Nice and modern and spotlessly clean.

We will definitely stay here again, should we need a hotel near to Milan Malpensa airport.

I was in transit for 24 hours with little sleep, and I was fortunate to find this wonderful hotel. The owners are so very friendly which makes all the difference. They picked me up at the airport within 5 minutes of my call, and even drove me to a nearby restaurant for dinner. I was exhausted and slept like a log, it was perfectly quiet.

The hotel seems to have been recently renovated and is quite hip.

This hotel will always be my first choice when I need to overnight at Malpensa.

Oh, if you have an iPhone, you need to set up the WIFI for a WPA2 connection.
