“Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary Fun!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2013

Great day had by 5 year old, did NOT realise that the bird feeding of the lorikeets was only on at certain times (twice) in the day. Really early (and missed it) & late in the arvo (too tired to wait) :( Think I was more disappointed than my child (had great memories & photos of doing it as a child myself). Great animals, lovely souvenir shop, look around for deals (shopper dockets & sometimes their own website) for discounts to get in.

“Currumbin Wild Life Sanctuary”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

We had a great day here at the sanctuary. Good place for the family - lots of space and special parts set out for children.
A train runs around the grounds for easy access to the different enclosures.
Take your own food as it is expensive to buy here - same goes for all tourist attractions.
A good array of animals on display including heaps of Koalas and the laziest, tamest kangaroos you can imagine.

Went with a friend and her 6 year old boy and thoroughly enjoyed the day. Lots of animals to see and various other attractions to add to the enjoyment of the day.

“Not enough u's in cute!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013

I dare anyone not to smile while holding a koala! What a great attraction. From feeding kangaroos, wallabies, and parrots to viewing many kinds of animals everyone in the group of 27 had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend a visit to this sanctuary for anyone who loves nature. There is even a little train that goes around the grounds for families with small children and there is a spot for strollers on board. You will enjoy your time here for sure.

“Upclose with Australian wildlife”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

What an amazing day we had at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. I cuddled a koala, handfed 'roos, got upclose to a barking owl and had beautiful rainbow lorikeets feeding from my saucer of wombaroo milk. These were just a few highlights of a day spent in a beautiful naturalized setting where cassowaries, pelicans, Tasmanian devils, dingoes, tree kangaroos, wallabies, crocs and free-roaming iguanas could all be experienced.

The free-flight bird show was a wonderful experience as we were "buzzed" by barking owls and huge wedge tail eagles. Then there was the sheep-shearing as part of the Australiana show. We watched through the viewing windows as vets operated on a koala which had been rescued, and rode the train around the extensive site. There's an Aboriginal Dance show and a challenging high ropes course - if you have time. A thoroughly excellent day out which EVERY Gold coast visitor should put at the top of their list!
