“Kitsch, but loveable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013 via mobile

The German Club is first and foremost a club for German émigrés in the area. It serves German food and beer, accompanied by German music. The majority of the "staff" are volunteers.
I've been a couple of times, and am always made to feel welcome, despite being half the age of the average visitors.

The food is honest, hearty German fare, with bratwurst, pork knuckle, sauerkraut, etc. It is all tasty, reasonably priced and arrives quickly to the table. My only criticism is that the music can be quite loud, but this does give the club the Beehall vibe of Germany.

Definitely worth a visit. It is open Fri - Sun.

“German Club Gold Coast Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

Had a delightful experience in this restaurant of which the club is designed to make the Germans feel at home. We are not Germans, but were welcomed as new customers. Anyone may join this club to take advantage of the other functions held at this club. We tasted a beautifully cooked German meal, which was also very affordable. You may choose from a menu or a blackboard meal. It was a Saturday night, they had good musical entertainment to which most people got up to dance to, some German music, plus other. Seemd to be big percentage of more mature people here, though there were a few young couples and children. Hence the dancing was not to hip hop, or rock!
