Carrying a payload of fine Scotch, Beer and explosives she set sail on her Maiden voyage destined for the Queensland Gold mines. She would Never make it. After an arduous 3 months at sea, The CW finally made it into Queensland waters. It was here tradgedy struck. On Sept 3 at 3.30 am in a cyclonic storm, she ran aground the shores of Stradbroke Island, spilling her cargo into the Pacific and taking the lives of five crew with her. “Funky Wine Bar”

I love Cambus Wallace, it's a unique bar at Nobby Beach. The staff are friendly. You need to visit this bar if you're on the coast to experience this unique part of paradise.

loved the vinyl records being played and if you have a fro this is your place - small and tasty selection of tapas - excellent top shelf selection of spirits and not run of the mill wines

“Great Bar”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

Something different on the Coast. It's certainly quircky and a welcome addition to the bar scene. Good Rum range and a small but adequate wine list. Tapas style food which seems all the rage at the moment. A good spot for a Friday night drink or meeting point for a night out. We will certainly return.

“Amazing selection of whisky and rum....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2013

This is the perfect place for a pre-dinner drink or a big night out! It is small, welcoming and has an excellent atmosphere. The decor is all old-worldy, with lots of timber, pictures of old ships and a brilliant mural along one wall. The drink menu is extensive - if you are a keen whisky or rum drinker you won't be disappointed. (Try Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum with ginger beer!!) There is also a range of beers, wines, ciders and cocktails. We had a platter of nibbly food between four of us (crackers, turkish bread, fruit, salamis, cheeses and more) $34.00 - it wasn't meant to be a full meal but was perfect to pick at while trying a few different drinks. The coast has long been overdue for a bar like this (offering choice of venue other than the local pub or surf club), and with the new small venue liquor licenses we can only hope there be lots more, although Cambus Wallace has set a very high standard for others to aim for. Highly recommended.
