Been coming for a good number of years, for both lunches and dinners.
There's no doubt that the location is superb and bearing the name of Sheraton it has a certain standard.
But over the years, wear and year, the hotel is starting to loose its spark!
The Terrace seafood restaurant used to be a top notch seafood buffet restaurant on the Gold Coast but the restaurant has definitely taken a dive downwards at a very rapid rate.
Firstly greeted by very hostile staff member at the front desk. Luckily, we were shown to the table but a very lovely wait staff that was explaining to us the layout of the food, the current special theme.
First thing I've noticed once sat down was the slightl worn decor, and second, being greeted by small fruit flies and flies that are here to stay and enjoy the food with me.
The selection at the cold and hot buffet bar is very limited, after about 2 goes, things are all repeating and also the staff are not very attentive in replenishing the food and the condiments.
The chef behind the carvery was not paying attention, not asking what the patron want, doesn't ask for quantity and even when specified, he didn't seem to acknowledge the request and continues.
Overall, the experience here has been very disappointing time after time. From a 5 star institution, I think Sheraton has a lot of work to do to really re-establish its prestigious status.
