Just loved it.... Stayed here for 7 nights w family (2 b'room, 2 boys 7 and 12) in June/July-we knew the weather mighn't be crash-hot (it wasn't) so we were v grateful for the hot spa and indoor pool! Our boys loved the games room (air hockey, Foosball and table tennis). Amazing sea views from 19th floor, barely obscured. And this was a garden/pool view room??!! Wonderfully spacious apt, had everything we needed including a dryer for wet clothes. Could have done without hard floor tiles throughout living/dining/kitchen-we managed to break 2 bowls despite trying to be careful Management very gracious about this. Great for getting to SeaWorld-5 minute drive-had a yearly pass so we popped in 3 times to catch the odd show we missed. Australia Fair handy for grocery shopping and a movie on an appallingly wet and windy day. 2 super Italian restaurants in Tedder Avenue and Yacht Club meal great too. Give the SLSC a miss for meals. Not far to Springbrook National Park and Natural Bridge-we left at 12, back by 5pm; perfect mini outing for our family. Well worth the visit for a change from theme parks/busy-ness Am amazed I can rave about our stay given how yukky the weather was! It speaks super-highly of our accomodation. We have family on the Gold Coast/Brisbane so the next time we travel up, we will definitely stay at Xanadu again :)

Hi Browyn G thanks for the great review, bad weather never helps your holiday so it's great to read you enjoyed yourselves. We get a lot of visitors from Melbourne escaping the cold weather over winter but this June & July has been colder and wetter than normal. The heated pools are well used over winter and very popular with the small and big kids. Springbrook and the other Hinterland areas are beautiful, it's great you decided to take a look around. Please contact us directly for your next visit, we'll be sure to give you the best rate available and a comfortable unit.
Regards
Duncan Manderson.

We are SO glad we found this place. We were looking for a nicer hotel as we wanted more of a "home" feeling than a grungy room. We stayed here for 9 days, combining a business trip with a family vacation. Colleagues booked a 5-star hotel down the strip (Sofitel) and this one was about the same price, same quality, but twice the space with kitchen and separate bedroom for the kids (and ours had a MUCH better view). Unexpected perks included a key FOB parking, heated pool, and easy access to the shopping mall / movie complex that is just to the north about 1.5 miles. We're clean-freaks, and it was wonderful to see that our carpets had been steam-cleaned prior to our arrival, kitchen was spotless and well stocked with usual utensils, never saw any bugs anywhere, and clean linens. Only negative was that Sea World is undergoing huge renovations at present so ~ 1/3 of attractions there are shut down. Made up for this by spending more time body-boarding at the beach, just about a 500 feet from hotel! (with lifeguard, BTW).

Room Tip: We were on 17th floor... great views. Any higher would have caused vertigo!

Hi Sean B thank you for the excellent review. Your comments are spot on, our units are unusually large (145m/1600ft square) and unique mixture of location to the Bach and a great selection of facilities all combined to make Xanadu quite unique. You stayed in one of our Superior units that had been fully renovated recently and very comfortable. Its great to read how much you enjoyed yourself and made the most of your holiday inspite of Sea Worlds renovations. Thanks again for the great review and we hope to see you again one day.

Massive open plan living room, dining room, kitchen and bedrooms. Well furnished and stylish. Rooms showing a bit of age with a slightly rusty shower head and missing toilet rubber foot on seat.

Location is away from the main Surfers Paradise Strip which can be a good and bad thing depending on what you like. There is a local upmarket street shopping area close by with some restaurants and other shops. Although the high rise is two blocks back from the beach, we had no building in front of us, so they place does indeed offer beautiful ocean views in a large, frontal cone area.

The main thing that stands out for me though is the service. Each time I rang, the staff were friendly and willing to help. They have a 24 hour after hours reception service and late check in option too.

Highly recommended.

Hi Ninga G thank you for your glowing response of your stay at Xanadu. Thank you for raising the maintenance points, no matter how minor you think they are - they are important for us to fix and stay on top of. We are very focussed on service and make a point of providing a high level of customer service regardless of the query. We hope you will contact us directly for the best valuable rate, the next time you decide to holiday on the Gold Coast.

Stayed at Xanadu for a few nights. The location is perfect, across from the beach and close to some lovely restaurants on Tedder Avenue.

The apartments are 5 star and the service great. Would recommend if you are looking for something more elegant than the noise of Surfers.

This is our 5th time staying at Xanadu.
The unrestricted views are so good, with the beach across the road. This time we were on level 18.
We are 2 couples from Perth W.A. we usually arrive on different dates and the staff at Xanadu are always happy to lock off one of the bedrooms and charge as a one bedroom apartment until the other couple turn up then we pay as a 2 bedroom apartment which suits us all. The apartments are always clean and comfortable. The location is great with Tedder ave a nice stroll away for some excellent restaurants, and the walk to Marina Mirage is also close. You are far enough away from the craziness of Surfers Paradise which is good. A short bus trip will take you to Broadbeach the Casino and Pacific fair. A 5 minute walk will get you to Southport Surfclub a casual place to have a meal or a drink or just to watch to surf. We didn't use the facilities ie pools and gym this time but have done in the past. The 2 tennis courts look great as well/
Have stayed at 2 other places in Main beach as were a bit cheaper, but always come back here.
Have recommended to friend who have stayed here as well and would be happy to recommend Xanadu.

Room Tip: We prefer to pay a bit extra for the higher rooms, but haven't stayed in the lower rooms.

Hi ccdc12, we loved your review - thank you for sharing! Most of our units are able to lock down to one bedroom which is a very popular option for lots of couples as it still leaves you with a nice large living space. Your feedback was enough for the owner to replace the bed with a new king bed which will be a big improvement. Hopefully next time will be even more comfortable for you. Thank you for the recommendation and please contact us directly for your stay.

We have stayed here before and were delighted to see that the maintenance of the accommodation and surrounding areas are still immaculate.
The location within walking distance of Tedder Avenue for a great selection of restaurants and overlooking a pristine beach less that 100 meters away makes it almost unique.
The accommodation is first class . We will not hesitate to recommend it and intend to return as soon as we can.

Room Tip: Request a room higher up in the building for the best views.
