Wall-to-wall marble floor, elegantly decorated room with jacuzzi in the bathroom. Nice pool, with plenty of pool-side beds. Everything is just an absolute delight, with a free bottle of wine of your choice as the icing on the cake. However, the Versace name and the price tag accompanying it may cause some people to expect even more. The balcony is provided half-heartedly, only 30cm wide, no typo here, you could barely stand on it.

Great food, fast elevator, everything seems to be just perfect.

Palazzo Versace is a luxurious venue. We stayed in a hotel room as a family of 2 adults and 2 children. The room was not large but the bathroom was! I loved sitting in the foyer and soaking up the atmosphere, dining at the restaurant and drinking at the bar. Palazzo Versace was a lesson in attention to detail - they do it so well there. The location was close to the beach, close to Seaworld and close to a very upmarket shopping centre. There were several restaurants within walking distance if you didnt want to dine at Versace. I have mixed feelings about my stay here. It's a little like going to see a movie that everybody is raving about - you go and see it with such high expectations and it doesnt quite live up to what you thought it would be. It was worth staying here to be able to cross it off the list however I would not race back to stay in one of the hotel rooms again as there are nicer rooms that cost a lot less elsewhere. But I could be persuaded to try out a suite at the Versace - maybe next time!

As I was there as part of a business conference, it is not the sort of place I would choose to stay at. But, it has everything laid on and there was nothing I could fault. We were a family with two adjoining rooms where the kids had a double bed each and we slept in the biggest bed I've ever been in - all very comfortable. The rooms are very big with a lovely adjoining bathroom/spa. The pool area is very easy with children.

When I'm on holidays I want to relax and this place lacked that quintessential Australian relaxed resort vibe. Yes, I know the brand is Italian. Many of the people staying here seemed very concerned with how glamorous they were looking; and that's fine, but it's not the scene I want when I am on holidays in Australia (Rome maybe!). Next time I would stay across the road - we walked through the Sheraton and the pools were more expansive and they span out to meet the boardwalk and beach, giving the Sheraton a much more open feel than the Palazzo. So, for the the Palazzo, we enjoyed our stay here helped by a good deal from Wotif, but would not return.
