WOW... Wow, wow... This was an experience that one should take once in a while to remind yourself there is another life outside Maccas ;-) Honestly, the day we chose was a beautiful day with blue skies, calm waters, warm with a little breeze. Almost like in a romance novel! The view was great with the boats slightly bumping against each other, with a few clangs from the boat mast ropes. Magical! Honestly magical!
The restaurant s intimidating at first, if you are not accustomed to this type of surrounds, but the view and the friendly staff make you at ease quickly with their charm. Decor and settings are very nice and comfortable. They even made room for our 7 year old boy and treated him like a King. He loved it!
The food was delivered in a timely fashion with kids taken care of first. This is a style long lost with many restaurants these days and for people with kids, they will understand ;-) As each course was completed, the next followed. I really haven't had an experience like this anywhere else for many, many years. It was granduous!
The quality was second to none. Full stop. The oysters were smooth and succulent. The salads were so fresh and nicely presented, as well as the antipasti board. The king prawns were large and had the taste of freshness, not smell. They were fantastic! The lamb was soft and tender, cooked by professionals, not a BBQ master :) The lobster was beyond description, so was the Rib Eye! By the time we hit dessert, it was almost too much but we all know there is always room ;-)
The dark chocolate fondant was amazing, along with the plunger coffee. O'h, and don't forget the cheese!
This was one of the most memorable restaurants we have ever visited and will definitely return!
