Today we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Alegria. Unfamiliar with Spanish cuisine, we found the tapas delicious. The paella was superbly flavoursome. Relaxed informal setting, very pleasant ambiance.
Only gripe : our lunch resulted from purchase of a Living Social deal, keen to try Spanish cuisine for an enticing discount. The deal advertised Lunch or Dinner for two including choice of 3 tapas, a paella to share, with jug of sangria. Value of $85. What we got was a single portion of paella to share (we verified this with the waitress). According to menu prices, the meal we shared would have cost us $50. This would imply that the jug of sangria is worth $35, in order to total value of $85, which is doubtful.
Besides feeling a little mislead or duped, with hubby not completely satisfied from portion, we enjoyed what we were served enormously. Would certainly consider returning for their Sunday special of paella plus sangria for $20 per person!
