“Lots on the Plate”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

The serving sizes here are large to say the least. 2 could comfortably share 1 plate. The meals are presented quite well for a large restaurant which turns out many meals for large and small groups. Very good value are the Moreton Bay Bugs.Chips & salad are served with all the "mains" and garlic bread is complimentary for the table. Huge selection of wines which line the back wall floor to ceiling.
Great option to dine here for a group as the service is prompt and has an "easy order" system.

“Not bad for large meals”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

Been coming for a while and the food is good value, not fancy but fresh, service is quick. Good to see they have removed some of the indoor plants that had vines going all over the place. Place has been brightened up since our last visit a few years ago so Is more inviting

“This place Used to be good”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

We have been going here on and off for years and unfortunatley this place is going downhill in a big way.The only thing they have going is the free garlic bread which is unlimited, the meat has lost its flavour, the staff arnt very friendly and the place is also now very old and outdated.

“Need to put it into perspective...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

We met here for a family lunch. If you are looking for a fine dining experience, this is not the place. If you are looking for modern fresh cuisine, this is not the place. If you are looking for an intimate, romantic dinner venue, this is not the place. A.S.S is the fast food equivalent of a restaurant. The meals are reasonable, the service fast, and the atmosphere non-descript and dated. The philosophy is volume, and quantity rules over quality. It isn't bad, but you do need to go in understanding this. We also found that the pricing is probably a little expensive for what you get and for the experience. The calamari was the most liked dish (tender, if not a little oily), and I would stay away from any of the dishes in any of the creamy-garlicky-cheesy sauces. Way too rich and will put too much stress on your gallbladder! You can deduce the owners philosophy from the serviettes... they have obviously been bought from another restaurants closing down sale to save a bit of money, and on our visit we also had to request that the lights were put on and the air-conditioning put on (38'C outside). Not a restaurant you would visit to impress, especially with the choice we have on the Gold Coast and Hinterland.

“Tired.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

Really needs a revamp. We were served quite fast and the food was alright but it needs something else. Food was served on a big metal tray which was dirty and the table we were sat at felt more like Sizzler than that of a so called restaurant...
