“Great for kids and families”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013 via mobile

Stayed Friday 11th till Friday 19th great welcome due to having our daughter with us when it came to checking in we were taken out of the queue and taken to managers room who checked us in quickly which was lovely and we noticed that he done this with all those who has children. We were then taken to the main restaurant for a bite to eat. Bags were taken to the room which was nice. We had great weather but to then its there winter ! Three days in its 30's so lovely and warm. We knew going out of season not everything would be open which was fine. Very busy Friday till Monday with Spanish and Germans for weekend break, never knew they could be so rude but once they had gone it was quieter! It's very clean abs the staff are so helpful and work hard, it's great for kids, great entertainment of an evening every night for kids and adults and rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels. The whole plans is kept so clean. Shame restaurants the other two restaurants were closed this was due to then not being very busy so this is not clearly advertised. When you book you need to understand this hotel is in the middle of know where and a bus ride to towns is about 30-40 mins but only 1 euro 40 to get anywhere. The complex is so big so you don't need to leave if you don't need to depends what your wanting to do. The late check out advertised is very misunderstood due to late flight and being pregnant plus a five year old we checked in wanting a late check out straight away was put on a list and told to return Thursday evening to see if we can. But was told no sorry check out is at 12 so I went and saw the manager and begged for Kate check out we ended up with the room till 2:30 which was better than nothing and grateful but check out till 4pm is not the case if you want it because if they are busy your room is taken at 12. We had a great time and my daughter loved it, it was a great place and we would go back due to it being so good for my daughter.

A great beach but no beach bar. The food was ok but very much the same each day. The other restaurants were closed which made the main resturant very busy. They closed the grill bar due to bad weather, well if you believe that you believe ? Come Thursdays the hotel got really busy with Spanish holiday makers that arrived in big groups and the are very rude and loud, because of this you had to cue for food each meal time. Bars were fine thou and staff were really hard working. A very nice complex but far to busy in the resturant and that was out of season god knows what it would have been like in season. No thanks. We use a lot of premier hotels but I wouldn't class this as one. We would not go back

Room Tip: Go to a different hotel

I just got back from here yesterday. We got there on a Friday evening and the check-in looked busy, but we were all sorted out quickly. Our room was very clean when we got to it and stayed that way after the cleaning staff came in everyday. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly, especially in the restaurant. There were also Spanish and German holiday makers there. Unfortunately some of the Spanish holiday makers were rather rude and pushy.
One thing that spoilt it was the smoking around the pool area. Not pleasant for non-smokers.
Overall, we had a enjoyable week and brilliant hot weather.

Room Tip: Rooms near the entertainment area can be a bit noisy Friday-Sunday

Recently returned after spending a week at this amazing resort. This holiday was booked as a last minute option and having previously experienced disappointing all inclusive resorts we were very impressed with the high level of customer service, cleanliness, activities schedule, general facilities and plentiful and varied food and drink choices. The staff were attentive and made a great effort to try and converse in English although I used the opportunity to pick up a few essential Spanish words and phrases. Our room was on the first floor. It was large, clean, well equipped with a safe and fridge and the balcony had a reasonably good sea view. It was quite fun anticipating what "towel"animals would appear in our room on daily basis. The gardens are well maintained with a distinctively tropical feel.A bus stop is conveniently located at the front entrance to the hotel and at a reasonable cost of 1.40 euros takes you to Chiclana central. On the down side the dining rooms can become quite noisy especially at weekends when there is an influx of Spanish guests we avoided this by eating early.Wi Fi access could be bought from the hotel shop but was quite pricey.
Overall I found this to be an efficiently run resort. All the staff were hard working, friendly and customer focussed and as I was informed feel that they are part of a large family. It was an excellent holiday and the weather was in our favour.I will definitely be returning when they reopen in Spring 2014.

Room Tip: Some Higher floors give a better overall view of the complex and some sea views.

We had been to Seville for a city break and decided to extend our stay with a little relaxation. We couldn't have chosen better, We have stayed in Riu hotels many times and can always rely on their excellent customer service. We travelled independently and our check in was very quick .Our room was ready and spotless well equipped with a fridge which was a nice addition to keep our water cool. The drinks were the best we have ever had all brand names Bacardi Gin and we even had champagne well Cava but it was still good! the wine was really good as well. The pool area was spotless with plenty of sun beds a fun looking children's pool with a pirate ship, we really hope to return with our grandchildren one day. We cant comment on the entertainment as we had chosen to eat late. The only thing that could be improved was the disco/nightclub we were not in Ibiza but the music said we were. The DJ just put on the music no one was dancing but he didn't seem to even notice, its like he can go home when everyone leaves so is not encouraging people to stay. This did not change our opinion of this wonderful hotel but a little exercise some dancing would have helped after eating and drinking so much

Check in was very efficient after the unexpected shock of the whole plane staying at the same hotel. The room was fine but little security as terrace opened onto a busy path also unable to leave window open at night for same reason. When we asked for a different room we were accomodated quickly and efficiently and were very happy with this room. The food was excellent but the dining areas could be very busy with lots of children running around. Bars and drink quality also excellent. Pool was great but always very busy. Sunbeds plentiful. Everything about the hotel was very clean and well cared for and the entertainment most nights was excellent.
On the downside weather during the firstweek was mixed and one could get very wet going from room to dining room or bar. This hotel was altogether too busy for my freind and myself and is not the place to go for a relaxing holiday. We knew that it was a large hotel but thought that after school holidays were over it would be more relaxed , we were wrong!!!! Are children in Europe allowed out of school when parents want them to be? Having said this we made the most of everything and the staff were most obliging and friendly even when under great pressure. Thankyou to all of them. They made what could have been a really bad experience for us into a holiday to remember. Families and younger people will just love it here even in October.

We have travelled as a family (me, my husband and our 3 year old son) in September. This is a lovely hotel in a gorgeous location, just 8o steps away from an amazing beach. We've arrived after 10 pm and a cold buffet was waiting for us. Family room spacious, very clean, just a bit out of date. The food was delicious, staff members very polite, all speak at least one foreign language. Our son enjoyed the evening children's show, the team worked very hard to keep everyone entertained. The hotel has free car park, but no free Wi-Fi, which wasn't really an issue for us considering the fact that we went there to relax and unwind. The pool area was great, lots of sunbeds. Cadiz is a great place for a day out. I've read few reviews which are very unfair, like the fact that they didn't serve paella, which was actually served in large quantities. Somebody mentioned the need of a bus to the beach...the hotel is ON the beach!!? Also some people are complaining about the loud Spanish families...well, no offence, but if you don't like Spanish or the way they talk, just choose another holiday destination. Over all, a great hotel which I would definitely recommend.

Room Tip: Stayed in room 2604, very quiet, away from entertainment area, but close to pool and gate to the bea...
