“Worst hotel and experience ever!! Owner attacked me!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2012

Booking this hotel was the worst mistake I've made in years.

50 Euro deposit apon arrival that was never mentioned by Thomas Cook!!

Passports taken for duration of stay!!

The rooms where cleaned by an aggressive and grumpy old bag every 2 days that just walked in the room without knocking.

No water aloud by poolside unless bought at the bar!

30 Euros to bring someone back to the hotel!

RIDICULOUS prices for damages!

The owner attacked me pushing me back by the chest thinking I had lightly tapped his wife on the shoulder, which in actual fact was my friend as she was not listening to him and insisting we pay charges for the room.

Do NOT come here. Worst hotel ever and ruined holiday!!

Room Tip: Do NOT come here!!

In a good location 10 mins away from the strip so you can get a good nights sleep. The rooms are very basic and don't expect to be doing much cooking as the kitchen is basically non existent. We had a huge hole in a our wardrobe which smelt of damp and was pretty gross. This was all bearable until the at the end of the holiday when they ripped us off and only gave half our deposit back for an apparent paint stain on the sheets which we don't actually think was there. None of the other people in our block were given back there deposit either so it wasn't just us. People weknewgot ripped off for drinks at the pool bar so would advise not going there. There restaurant opposite is really nice so definetly go there. If you get a case of the munchies at 5am defo go to BJ's for there chicken nuggets, they are amazing!!
Our favourite bar was cheeky tiki's definetly go there and get a thai bucket the alcohol is really strong there and they don't water it down like other places. And say hello to Charlie who works there, we love him!!!
Do not buy everything off the reps as they will rip you off and you can get it so much cheaper on the strip. The school disco, the white party and foam party are worthwhile and paint party was pretty cool too. Wouldn't recommend the booze cruise as everyone was really hungover and wasn't much fun.
A great thing to do is hire your own boat and see the turtles it's cheap and much more fun than the tour boats. Go to cherry bay beach club, but it only gets good there after 3.30 so don't bother going before then, guys have to pay €5 but girls get in free. YOLO!!!

Is a fairly average place, but it's one of the better hotels you can stay at in Laganas. Thomas Cook's 18-30's don't advertise the place as well as they should, it's meant to be an 18-30's accommodation yet you're not allowed alcohol in your room or more than 3 people in a room even if you travel with a standard group of 7 or 8. So yeah, Thomas Cook are massive money grabbers in this scheme who don't shut up trying to sell you things. Maria is a b**** who looks like Bella from Fireman Sam. Get a bit of UV paint on your bed sheets and you'll get charged nuff euros, they won't even compromise and let you wash them. So if this occurs you may as well take a hefty dump on them too and get your money's worth for your over priced bed sheets. Ignore the comments about Sakis below, he's a trueLAD, get on his good side and he will take care of you. I think if the hotel hosts treated their customers a bit better they would do their hotel reputation a bit better
x

So the holiday was in Thomas Cooks 18-30's and no alcohol was allowed in rooms or you would get fined.
Sakis and ana fined my friends for making bed sheets dirty saying it would not wash out and they could not be used again, a total of 114 euros was fined for the whole week. They took advantage of us being young and having hold of our passports.
The appartments were really nice and so was the pool but the owners put a downer on the holiday by taking too much money. Drinks and meals at the bar were overpriced and the food wasnt even nice.
Dont pay for air conditioning as we were told by some other people staying that it doesnt work.
Mon Repos is NOT self catered, the maid steals your food so your encouraged to buy food from the bar, the fridge turns off when you leave the room so that any food waiting to be eaten later will go off.
None of your own bottles of water are allowed round the pool, sakis' weird son takes them off you so you have to pay 90 cent for a bottle of water, the same water costs 50 cent from the market down the road.
Also, the last night we asked to rent a room as we were to leave at 2am in the morning for our flight and got kicked out at 12pm, ana told me we could have it overnight, but she kicked us out at 9pm saying she had new arrivals, so we paid 40 euros for 9 hours in a room and had to sit outside overnight with all our bags.
Overall, Sakis is a rude horrible man who takes advantage of 18 year olds by taking all our money, so my advise to anyone who stays is absolutely lick his bum the first night and he wont fine you. Hes nice to you of you spend money at his awful overpriced bar. The place is really nice but the owners are rude.

Room Tip: The rooms in block b are cooler, nicer, and have better showers that dont just dribble.

We visited in June 2009... We went as a group of 3 girls as a last minute deal, as a big group of our other friends were already going. We wanted to be as close to the main part of Laganas as possible so we didn't have to walk far to the bars, clubs and restaurants. Mon Repos Apartments are literally a 5 minute walk away!!!!

We expected the apartments to be pretty basic, which they were, but they were clean all the same! There was a big balcony and a decent, WORKING kitchenette which is pretty essential on a self catering holiday if you want to keep the budget down! And... the pool and the pool bar were great, just a 1 minute walk away from the apartments.

There isn't really a bad word for us to say about these apartments... The family who owns them lived underneath our room (we were on the 1st floor) and they were always really friendly and welcoming whenever we went downstairs!

If you are going to Laganas on a budget... STAY HERE!! We would go back :)

Well what can i say Zakis and Anna fantastic people, friendly, helpful and overall brilliaint hosts. The rooms were what you expect from a cheap holiday but were always kept 100% clean and any problems you could just go and ask Anna or Zakis and they would be sorted. The bar was excellent, 5 euros got you a pint of cocktail and 2 shots, proper alcohol not like the watered down stuff down the main strip and with Zakis there you are sure to have a fun night. The pool is brilliaint, with plenty of sun loungers around to laze about. The strip everyone saying its a 15 minute walk its like 5 minutes? and the " dark path " I feel wasnt a problem people just cant see infront of there own feet. I would recommend this place to anyone, Overall a holiday that will never be forgotten so many friends made, we will definatly be coming back thats for sure! Yamas!!!!!!!! x

Room Tip: The block by the pool is the best nice and easy access to the bar and exit of the hotel
