We stayed here all inclusive in August 2007. Very hot and busy. The location of the hotel is excellent right on the sandy beach front . It is only a few mins walk to the centre of town and the night clubs, this hotel is far enough away to not be bothered by any late night noise.
The hotel had mainly Dutch guests but it didn't matter they were fine to get on with. A lot of small kids here with a Dutch kids club.
The pool area is a bit small and crowded in high season and not much room between beds, plenty of space on beach though.
The staff were ok and room clean, some more modern than others.
Food was really good for a 3* AI .Good choice of meals at all times. and drinks were ok too.
The resort is great if you are young and looking for lively nightlife but it also caters for young kids during the day with the sea being very shallow, warm & safe.
I would probably return to this resort but not this hotel.

This was the second time we have been to this hotel.

We first went in 2005, our kids are now 12/13 (girls). We all had a great time at this hotel, the food is great and a very wide variety, you can try local food or if your kids are younger or the fussy type(!) there are the obligatory fish fingers and chips and all the ice cream they can eat. The benefit of being all inclusive is that you can try anything and everything if you so wish.

The hotel is clean and tidy and staff pleasent and friendly. Range of all inclusive drinks was good. The only downside i would say is the evening entertainment, being May we went down to the pink panther club on the main laganas strip which was great - but not so sure lagans strip would be great for kids in july and august later on in the evening, as i suspect the entertainment at this time of year would be more adult orientated. Having said thats its a lovely stroll along the beach past several nice restaurants and a nice stroll back with a KFC at midnight !
We love this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to go back again. It is in a great position and very good value for money.

“Best holiday ever”

I have just got back from a week at this hotel and i have to say i loved it. There were only 2 things i didn't like - there wasn't many English people there but i expected that and our All Inclusive finished at 11 while the Dutch got to drink till later a bit unfair!

The location was just fantastic right on the beach, a short walk to shops an bars. The room was clean, tidy, decorated nicely. Hotel facilities a little basic but thats how it is in greece the pool was nice, with pool bar right next to it so great for sun bathing all day. The staff were nice and friendly the entertainers were lovely girls i had a giggle with one of them. The barmen were polite one imperticular was very friendly and talkative and one was a bit grumpy, an older man. The food was all nice something different each day good quality, i am a very fusy eater and i had no trouble with the food. It was lovely and peaceful too. It was just beautiful.

So overall a very good holiday i can't wait to go back next year an hopefully take my friends more english people need to go there that would make it perfect!!!!

Zakinthos is the most beautiful place i have ever been to.

I will keep this as simple as i can,the good points and bad
Bad -
dutch ran hotel
dutch entertainment for kids club, none for adults
ignorant staff (except spirios the barman)
badly decorated rooms, must have painted with thier eyes shut
outdated lounge and bar
light fittings and wiring hanging everywhere
a drain in the bathroom, where shower water bubbles up
wiring in the room on tv and lamps taped up together
bad views from rooms, very small sea view
balcony.s in main building dirty and rusting
outside front of hotel is horrible wasteland areas
food not great but you can manage to find something
but the worst of all is that this hotel has 4 buildings, 3 newish 1 old, and the old i believe is used for the english and the dutch are given the newer buildings. The staff talk to all the dutch but hardly ever speak to the english unless you ask them something.

Good -
the beach and pool area is very nice
laganas itself has plenty of bars and shops
and im affraid that is it.

all in all i would rate this as a 2 star not anything else, worst holiday yet.

“Nightmare face to face”

I turned back home abosolutely frustrated a tired from the stay in this hotel. We stayed there in 3.8.-14.8.2007 following the offer of travel agency which presented this hotel as ****, all incl., delicious food and great place to have a rest and recharge yourself.
Nothing was truth.
Thanks God that after several escalation to the hotel mgt we moved from the room No. 18 which can be easy called a jug (ground floor room, no window, only balcony doors shined by shutter, lowered ceiling, no ceiling lighting, oriented to sunny and dusty parking, with noisy and hot A/C ventilator on small balkony terrace and noisy A/C machine inside the room blasting the air directly to children extra bed).We were offered to move to the 1st floor room, where we have got the daylight and feeling we are saved, really absolute minimum to not cancel the stay.
The hotel is divided into 3 parts, 1 old when we stayed and 2 more modern but used exclusively for the clients of Dutch and German TAs. No chance to get there.
Presented delicious food is really standard of 3 stars hotel, do not expect any fish (only fillets), suvlaki or sea fruits. Pancakes were not fresh, panacota made from milk, no wine grapes, served wines and beer as really swipes.
Simple lunch buffet available at pool bar area starting at 12:30, i.e. in the biggest heat under several umbrellas. My child nearly collapsed every day. No service for dirty dishes, do it yourself.
The pool area was poorly cleaned, dirty sunbeds, overflowing baskets, butts, snuffled napkins...
The room was very simple and it was necessary to relocate the extra bed of my child to keep her healthy. You cannot sleep with A/C switched on due the the noisiness, but you cannot open the balcony door due the noisiness outside. Big dilema.
Two good things: no moskytos, fine bed quality.
Nearly for whole stay we have got some English rowdies in our neighbourhood. Young English people like Laganas very much, but the hotel mgt should decide to whom it wants to addres the service and safeguard some comfort standard during the night.
Laganas is absolutly lost place for the turists which are going to stay in life but not aggressive summer resort. Laganas looks more like South American resort than a Greek one. Faliraki in Rhodos is a pious place compared to Laganas. The Greeks destroyed this place not only for the poors turtles, but also for all people with some minimal sense for living environment and good mind.
The island is nice, especially West and North. You can make some nice trips to to tavernas, villages and rocky seaside.
But in Laganas and in general in Zakynthos I did not feel the famous Greek friendliness and hospitality - the first time for more than 10 years travelling to this Greece and the islands. Strange feeling. OK, no more Zakynthos.
