On arrival the entrance is very nice and then you are taken to your room what a let down. The shower as previously stated is so small,so yes the floor is always wet. Toilet leaked and on speaking to others their toilet also had a problem. Safe cost 20 euro a week ,fridge 20 euro a week and air conditioning 7 euro a day. Sound can be heard from strip till 4 am and also wake up calls from the Cockerell go on most of the night. Basic breakfast. Beach is a disgrace the rubbish is unbelievable. Would we recommend no sorry.

Just back from a weeks stay at the Castelli. Having read Trip Advisor and the near on purfect reviews i thought it too good to be true. After dropping off the "youth club" in Laganas on our transfer from the airport which takes about 20mins, i was dreading being dropped off in this aweful resor, with the shocking hotels that we were dropping off at !!, but luckly we carried on through the resort and about half a mile later we came to our stop, a charming hotel front, greeted by the owner with a glass of orange and a chat on what was on offer and what was expected of us in his family run Hotel.
We were offered a choice of rooms, we opted for the first floor with balcony.
The Bad Points- you have to rent the fridge 3 euros a day, you have to rent aircon 7 euros a day,. I have never had to pay for these where ever i have stayed and i find it wrong you have to.
The bathroom was so small with the smallest shower that flooded the bathroom every time, i am 6.2 and couldnt move in the shower, and absolute nightmare showering!!! Every where in the hotel was red hot, they should rent there own aircon in the lobby !!
I found the breakfast boring and very limited, orange juice ?? coffee, tea, cheese, ham . boiled egg or omlette, 2 cerials, tinned peaches with greek yog or toast n cakes,,,very boring, very bland.
Good Points- Very nice staff and owners, very helpful , very clean hotel with rooms cleaned and towles changed daily, lovely pool area, clean and tidy and very quite, outside bar was very good serving lovely "greek salads" and food and drinks in general , the owner does a BBQ on Saturdays which pls dont miss, he stands and does the food himself and its lovely, 12 euros each and worth every penny.
Dont worry that your half a mile from Laganas, its well out the way of the roudy part, with the beach 200 yards one way and 15min walk the other. Aththough i found the beach poor and untidy in parts.
Places to eat - Across from the Hotel is a lovely place serving all types of food.
Turn right out the hotel and follow road, to the beach about in is "Club Med Restaurant" this is lovely ,with excellent food, go on a night they have greek dancing, excellent night.
Turn left out the hotel and take first left and walk about 10 mins to "el greco restaurant", again, excellent food and very traditional.
Carry on down that road is a small resort called Agios Sostis, about 20 min walk from the hotel, some nice sea front places to eat there too.
Not to bad for Mozzys, but take a spray, we had a couple of bites.
So on the whole the Castelli Hotel is a nice place to stay, its clean , quite, and in the right place to unwind . The owner is clearly proud of his hotel and so he should be, it has its faults but we we still enjoyed our holiday , so yes i would recommend it .

We loved our stay at the castelli. The family are lovely, the rooms were clean, the breakfast was nice! The most important thing of all was that it was quiet! We dropped off kids on the coach dreading that we would stay somewhere like they were. We got there and I felt like crying with happiness! We got orange juice on arrival, which was welcoming! It was so chilled and relaxed it's unreal! I WILL be going back there! Just make sure you take some insect repellent if your planning on sitting out on the balcony! You DO get bitten badly in Zante :')

A young couple from Romania.
I shall begin with the good things:
The reception area was spotless as was the pool area and bar facilities,
Mr Spiros and family are very polite and useful.
Bad things:
The rooms are quiet small, the shower room is ridiculous small and the whole floor area getting soaked each time it was used.
Breakfast was a bad joke: bread, margarine, cornflakes, bad quality cereals, orange squash that was labelled 'orange juice', but NO FRUIT or vegetables, though there were plenty of them in Zante for a resonable price. I can't forget the rooster hotel who woke up us in some nights.
In short terms: a 2 stars hotel with a good value for money.

It's a sweetest family ever! They are kind, carrying and do everything to make your holidays even better. The hotel has excellent location 5 minutes from beach and 10 minutes from the main road. Even though the hotel is situated on the side of island, where parties are everyday, this is a place of total quiet and silence. You have to try a barbecue, which is made by the owner of the hotel, every saturday.I recommend it with all my heart!

What a fantastic time we had at this hotel.Nothing is too much trouble for the manager Spiros and his family. The hotel is situated in wonderful Greek countryside and is immaculate.Dining out is not a problem as Spiros will arrange transport there and back to various local Tavernas. We particularly liked El Greco, Skoublous and Akropolis. Aghios Sostis where the hotel is situated is small but typically Greek and a world apart from Laganas which is right next door!!! If you are looking for something just that little bit different you will not go wrong with this hotel.

Where do you start about the wonderful Hotel Castelli and Spiros and his beautiful family! The hotel is quiet, clean with a beautiful pool surrounded by the well kept gardens also no worries about sunbeds you can get one any time of the day. The breakfasts are simple but really enjoyable also you must try the Saturday bbq this is cooked by Spiros himself he takes great pride in this! The food is wonderful and the smell of it cooking makes you hungry that you can't wait for it to be ready to eat it. Anything you need Spiros and his family will make sure you get it my husband can only drink decaffeinated coffee they had a tin there for my husband the next day! Stuck for a restaurant they will tell you where the best ones are and even arrange a lift there and back to some of them. The service from Spiros, Anastasia, Maria and their staff Marianthi, Soula, Fay also the cleaners is second to none!! You go home feeling like you have stayed with family and can't wait to go back and see them again!!!

Σας ευχαριστούμε επίκλισης περιμένουμε μέχρι την επόμενη φορά

Hope you understand the above Spiros? By the way what is our room number???
