“A nice week away at Village Inn”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

My partner and I arrived at Village Inn Studios after a terrible booking experience with Deal of the Day Holidays and were relieved to find the hotel was a lot better than the people we booked with. The staff were friendly and welcoming and overall the atmosphere and standard of the hotel was very good. The owners & bar staff in particular were very nice and friendly.
Room - the room was pretty good overall, big, clean and the pool side location was perfect. The let down was the uncomfortable bed, which did not get changed on request unfortuneatly. The bathroom was fine and the shower nice and powerful despite having to hold it up yourself. The room came with a fridge which was nice to have and the cleaners came by regularly (sometimes even snuck in whilst we were asleep!).
Pool & Bar - The pool and bar area were great and always clean and there were always plenty of sun beds. Despite the wasps, the pool side experience was perfect.
Food - The food was really the only part of the holiday we weren't 100% happy with. There was lots of choice and a nice seating area but far too much english food for our liking. There was sometimes a Greek option and these were always yummy but they were too few and far between. It is a shame that the English tourists have a reputation for wanted only deep fried food on holiday. Pizza, chicken nuggets, chips and onion rings were pretty much there at every meal which for us was not that appealing. The breakfast had lots of choice but it was mostly fry up stuff and we found the sausages & bacon to be low quality and the eggs always baked. It would be great to have something different (Greek). If they had increased the Greek choices but kept some of the English for those that did want it things would have been perfect.
Atmosphere - There was a mix of people visiting the hotel, some really nice families and some pretty rowdy groups of young men. There was one particular group of Welsg guys who were very rude and constantly giving the staff a hard time. We thought they were going to be asked to leave but didn't in the end. It was a shame that they were around bringing down the mood for other people.
Location - The hotel is in a perfect location for those trying to avoid the main strip (like us) but close enough for those who want to visit.

Overall we were happy and pleasantly surprised with this hotel. We really enjoyed our stay and would reccomend to a friend. If they upgrade their beds and expand the Greek options on the menu it would be perfect.

Room Tip: Go for pool side, very handy for food, bar and pool.

When we first arrived at the apartments we were very impressed with what we saw. Pool was nice, rooms were spacious but simple (as expected) and the staff seemed friendly. However, on our first night we soon discovered the staff were not as friendly as first thought. They were incredibly grumpy and rude when we asked for drinks. You don't expect rudeness when you have paid for all inclusive. We couldn't understand why they were so rude as we always said please and thank you and bought our glasses back to help the staff. The only staff member who was friendly was carol the chef who was absolutely lovely. Her food was very good too! Also if you would like a clean room, don't stay here. Our room was cleaned once in the entire week, and our towels changed once also. This apartment obviously has something against young holiday makers. Not all of us should be branded the same!

well firstly me and 8 lads booked this hotel all inclusive for a week, we arrived at the hotel at around mid-day, there is no 'reception' as such, you just have to wait around in the bar area. We was shown our rooms, and explained that a safe was 10 euros for the week,5 euros a day for air con which is rodiculous because ours never even worked after we paid for it. Mosquitos are a big problem in this hotel i got bitten all over so i advise repellent of some sort.
The all inclusive food was a buffet style, and tbh the food was quite good considering, a bbq on a wed night was nice but only allowed 1 item each, and had your hand snapped off if you took more. The drinks are all watered down even the lager, they serve a 'beer' in a quarter sized pint glass held probably around three mouthfuls. The bar staff were very rude when you went up for more drinks, and although we was told tequila was all inclusive, then to be told an hour later after we kept drinking it that it wasnt was a joke. The location is apalling, its a good 40 min walk to the strip/beach so get taxis. The night guard is an absolute bellend, as soon as you enter the resort he is on your case with his flash light following you until your in your room, at one point he was stood in a bush spying on me talking tona few girls thay were in our hotel. all in all i wouldn reccomend this hotel to anyone, made to feel unwanted do not come here!!

My partner and I stayed in Village Inn for 8 days, all inclusive around Mid-June 2013. Everything was as we expected; friendly and hard working staff, clean and specious rooms and very good food and service. I don’t understand how some people can call them rude and unfriendly! They could be only rude to the people who rude to them and doesn’t respect the staff and other holidaymakers in the hotel area!? Every time we asked a question or needed their help they were more than happy to help us and tell us all the information they know and solve our problems. The food was delicious and lots to choose from. Carol the British chef is a very kind woman and she cocked very good food everyday plus and lovely Barbeque on Wednesdays. I would recommend this hotel to everyone and any age. If I go back to Zante for holiday again, I would defiantly go back to Village Inn.

I arrived at the village inn on the 6th june for 11 nights, i was very suprised how much nicer the hotel was to what i expected! Rooms were pretty basic but were fine! Food was lovely thanks too the chef carol! The staff were all very helpful for the whole stay, especially as we complained we had no shower curtain and our bathroom was getting drenched, they fitted us a shower curain the same day which was pretty impressive. The hotel is on the same road as the strip, a pretty long walk down to the bars and beach as you get stopped at every bar! would reccomend getting a taxi which is only 6 euros. Perfect hotel if you dont want too be right on the strip. Anyone looking for a nice hotel and quieter hotel should stay here!

Room Tip: Having a room near the cow is a bit of a pain! hahaha

On first arrival appeared to be a nice hotel after a couple of days however it became apparent that it was not all we thought it was going to be. We were soon to find the staff at the hotel to be unhelpful, unfriendly and quite frankly rude which isn't what you would expect from a hotel that provides all inclusive to complain or argue with you when you simply ask for a simple drink. furthermore the rooms where not kept clean due to the shoddy maid service they provide who simple do not touch the room the whole time we were there. Overall thoroughly disappointed with the staff service.
