We were dismayed as soon as we entered our room, The walls were dirty, and dark painted a caramel colour and dark blue, couldn't see daylight through kitchen n bathroom window as the were overgrown with foliage, stuffy bathroom couldn't open window cos of tree's.the room smelt musty.mould in wardrobe.blankets smelt damp.
There was 3 lights out of the four working and the beds an absolute disgrace, sheets grey, thin and holey, pillow stained yellow. The owners dog was tied up and it yapped non stop. The toilet bins wer;t emptied so we did it ourselves we had 2 linen change and 2 towel changes in 2 weeks.
The chamber maid was the woman who cooked,we took one look at her scruffy overall and decided never to eat there and the prices were high. The pool has scum marks round the edges and the water dyed everything including hair green.
The Christina is set in lovely grounds away from the main strip but close to all the amenities and it's such a shame they don't make an effort with the standard of cleanliness,an overhaul would do it good.
We have always had good holidays in greece basic but usually spotlessly clean until now, what a let down. We wouldn't go there again and certainly wouldn't recommend it.

on arrival at approx 7am to the apartments we really wanted a cup of tea so asked the nice young gentleman who made us one but at a charge of 4 euros ( rip off straightaway) have been to corfu before and was given a carton of milk free of charge. Was shown the room typical of greek studio very basic. We crashed out straightaway meeting was 10.30 no chance we only got in bed at 8am our flight was 0125 from EMA. We woke and put everything away only one wardrobe one drawer in bedside cabinet and two drawers in the dressing table. Definitely not big enough for 3 people. If your thinking of cooking dont even think of it far too basic unless your just using one pan. Couple of people around were complaining not enough pans or utensils not even a bread knife it you brough uncut bread or rolls from the shop. We only had cereal in our rooms and i would take that next time as crunchy niuts 445 euros. its camp kettle so enough for two cups on each boil. We brough mugs in the supermarket but do ask at the bar they will give you 2. Spirious an cristos ok but not the most friendliest of hosts i have come across to be honest the worst they attitude seems to be very much cant be bothered. ( sorry if you read this both of you but being honest) the prices at the bar were expensice 4 euros for a short 2.50 for a coffee thank god only had one coffee waiting for the return bus. 2.50 for beer 4 euros for bottle of strongbow (small) we only ate a pizza one night as it was raining 8 euros was enough for me and my sis. had chicken another night cos it was raining and we both had S**ts next day as they had warmed it up from earlier at barbeque so beware if your reading this. oh also had to pay 30 euros to keep the rooms on as although we didnt arrive till 7am mnday mnorning the room is available from 12 midday sunday. if you can see if your neighbour will let you shower in theirs i would have wished we had done that. most the flights are crap times. Takis supermarket on beach is the cheapest. We went on beach everyday 5 or 6 euros for sunbed hire. 5 min walk to beach approx 10 mins to main strip where lots of bars and clubs and restaurants and of course they all want you to spend money in theirs. Kebab shops good prices 2.40 for small kebab and they lovely. taxi costs 6 euros to come back from strip another rip off. We found it to be pretty expensive eating out at restaurants and found whilst speaking to other people in the resort lots more are cooking in the their apartments. p[eople taking bachelors pasta in sauce etc with them they cost 2.60euros over there,. We found the FINARI steakhouse to be fantastic food and good atmostphere buit it was almsot 30 euros most nights for meal and bottle of wine and thats not starters or desserts just main course. We did however thorough enjoy our holiday and would return to laganas but to some other apartments nearer to the main road. A couple of muggins have happened down near the beach where an elderley gentleman had his arm broken and he had been going there 12 years and couple of rapes happened from what we were told, so if your girls in a group stick together. Would recommend laganas though and my sister and i are ijn our 40's and loved every minute of it.

If you are coming to Zante for a holiday do not stay at the Christina Apartments. We was taken to our room to find it was like a black hole, hardly no lighting, dirty bed sheets and towels, general dust and dirty marks everyone. Shower curtain was broken, camp bed broken and not changed after asking our rep to do so. The main light was hanging out of the ceiling broken... and the tv was also broken. Our room was cleaned once in two weeks if you can call it cleaning..

Smelly bins outside our door where waste was put by the maid staff. It was a noisy hotel with a dog barking at all hours as it was tied up and negelected. The pool area was ok but most of the sun beds were uncomfortable and broken.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.

the christina apartments in zante, look beautiful in there deffence, amazing pool area, bar, wonderful staff ( excluding the owner and maid's). The room at first was pleasent, big enough for three. Yet the camp bed was horrid, one broke on the first night and the second one was appaling! The food appliances were shocking, first they smelt horribly and secondly there was not even a sausepan. They did't give us toilet paper and when you are paying this much for a holliday you would assume you could have some. They did not change our bins, sheets, or towell's ONCE, absoultly unacceptable, the maid's were pretty non existant really - very shocking, we felt like they were taking advantage as we were a young group of girls. There was a bit too much of a walk to the strip, which cost us alot in taxi's as my friend was on crutches. Still had the best holliday ever, as zante is a brilliant place for a clubbing holliday - the nightlife was amazing, as well as very friendly people and locals, so go to zante, but do not go to the christina apartments

We were apalled from the moment we entered our studio, the dirty, foisty smell hit us,then we saw the curtains were hanging off the rails. The walls were dirty, skirtings thick with muck.
There was only one light out of the four working and the beds an absolute disgrace, sheets grey, thin and holey, pillow stained yellow.
We complained to the rep who got the room cleaned and lights and curtains fixed,we got new bedding but after that it all went downhill again.
The owners dog bit me and drew blood but they laughed and said it was playing, however what if it bit a child? It was tied up part of the time when it yapped non stop. When it was let to run loose it did it's business beside the pool where it lay for two days. The toilet bins wer;t emptied so we did it ourselves we had no linen change or towels.
We paid 30 euros to keep the room from 12 noon to midnight on the Sunday we were due to leave and while we were out they came to clean the room for the next people in. They put in two extra beds and all our stuff was put to one side everything we had was moved. To make things worse we had no access to hot water which is part of the reason you keep the room on so you can freshen up for the journey home.We vacated our room at twelve but waited three hours in the cold as there was nowhere to sit in the warm people were taking towels out of cases to wrap children in to kep warm.
The chamber maids wore dirty overalls and aprons as did the woman who cooked,we took one look at her scruffy overall and decided never to eat there.
The Christina is set in lovely grounds away from the main strip but close to all the amenities and it's such a shame they don't make an effort with the standard of cleanliness,an overhaul would do it good.

  • Liked — The setting in lovely grounds with palm trees
  • Disliked — The reallly dirty rooms and lack of hygene eg. dog dirt left lying beside pool.
