This is like staying with your own family, Yannis and Martha cannot do enough for you, their breakfasts are continental style. Fresh juice, coffee lots of variety of tea. There is fresh bread, jams made by Martha, fruit, ham, cheese and cereal, there is a toaster for you to use and breakfast is served between 8am and 10am, Never a problem to get a sunbed and the whole area is immaculate at all times. The rooms are basic but cleaned every day. Towels changed three times in the week. Safety deposit box available 1.5 euro a day. Little balcony with chairs an table and drying rail, big enough for towels and swimming gear. Books available to read in reception with lots of choice. Plus Martha will let you have a kettle and mugs if you want them no charge, just ask. It's a short walk to the beach which is also stunning but is black volcanic rock so wear beach shoes, flip flops aren't sufficient. We bought ours there 9 euros each. Look for beach sub beds which have ,mattresses on them they are linked to the restaurant adjacent and there is no charge for them. We used the ones Linked to Classico where the restaurant has a waiter on the beach who fetches your drinks. No extra charges involved. Buses run every twenty minutes to Fira takes about 30 mins to get there 1.6 euro. Well worth a visit. Stunning views and great photos. From Fira you can get buses anywhere else on the island, All buses same price. If you are looking for English pubs then this isn't the resort for you. But if you want to escape to somewhere quiet eat great meals and relax in the sun then book up now!

Room Tip: We had room 104 ground floor overlooking pool.

Hotel Santellini is a minute's walk to the beach. It is spotless and beautifully designed around a courtyard with a sparkling pool. Not only is it graciously managed and staffed but Martha makes you feel like family. The breakfast that was included was huge and yummy and you will get addicted to the yogurt and honey. Could not believe we got so much for such a reasonable price. It was absolute perfection!

It's always been on my 'wish list' to go to Santorini and when I was looking for a hotel, I'd read the reviews on the Santellini and I don't think I'd ever seen a 5 out of 5 review before, so thought it was worth looking at and booked for a week in June. I'm happy to add my 5 out of 5 to the rest of the reviews. Fabulous hotel, perfect location and resort. Martha and her team can't do enough for you. Everything is kept perfectly spotless and breakfast was wonderful. Big fan of Martha's home made strawberry jam and they always liked to add extras such as the previously mentioned eggy bread, drizzled in honey. Delicious! Kamari is a lovely resort, lots of lovely bars and restaurants, plenty to choose from. As for Santorini itself, it didn't disappoint. Stunning scenery and lovely people. Thank you Martha and your team for making our holiday so perfect.

This is the 3rd time to magical Santorini and as we were returning for our 25th Wedding Anniversary with friends (who had never been before) I wanted to make sure it was special, I therefore booked the Santellini based on the reviews. Thinking if it half as good as they say, cannot go wrong. PERFECT - I cannot explain in words, you will have to go yourself so you can actually experience the warmth and wonderful hospitality of Martha. She makes you so welcome the moment you arrive with a big smile and nothing is too much trouble. She learnt all 6 of our parties names virtually immediately which makes you feel even more special and at home at her and Yiannnis hotel. It is all about the little extras, the personal touch - at breakfast for example, she wanted to ensure you all had everything and everyday she came around with something different, whether omelette, tomatoes from her garden and taking the time to walk around the pool having a chat - but without being intrusive. She even put a bottle of wine in our room with a card saying Happy 25th and made a heart shape on our bed in petals. Beautiful woman inside and out. We all fell in love with her, the team & this hotel. We have already looked to see if we can get booked in for next year.
Some practical points.
Location, ideal - 10 mins from airport, great location right in the middle of Kamari but once in the hotel nice and quiet. Rooms spotless, not huge but ideal. Air conditioning works effectively but must shut the doors. Hair dryer supplied with nice crisp white towels, changed daily - we had a maisonette room overlooking the pool, bed very comfortable, again crisp white linen. You can hire a kettle, iron and beach towels from reception, very cheaply - couple of euros. Small bar area on the terrace for a drink - Yarrissa will look after you. A cold fridge by the pool where they keep water, beer & soft drinks - just take them and let them know what you have had to pay later.
All in all, you could not chose better. Don't go for the modern, contemporary hotels which are soul less - you are in Santorini - be part of it and enjoy this friendly family run hotel where you can just chill out and relax. THANK YOU, Martha & Yiannis - we will be back. XXXX Paul & Gail XXXXX

Room Tip: Pool view - 1st or 2nd floor

To return to somewhere you have stayed in Greece is considered a blessing. Well, if that is true, we were also blessed by returning to this warm, friendly, sparklingly clean and beautiful hotel. Once more, Martha, Yanis, and all of the staff proved to us that this hotel is a palace.

Some changes - refitted bathrooms, a roof top sun lounge, new tv's for the rooms, as well as new equipment to capture even more of the strength of the sun's rays and make this place environmentally friendly.

Oh, and breakfast is still as fresh and healthy as it was before, and together with Martha's smile greeting everyone personally every morning, Hotel Santellini is one of the nicest placest we have ever stayed.

Thank you Martha for making Santorini so special. We will be back!

Room Tip: We had a maisonette overlooking the pool - very quiet.

Just arrived back from the Santellini after 2 weeks of sheer bliss, the welcome we got was wonderful, the bedrooms were spotless, the continental breakfast were to be marvelled at with the addition of on some mornings fried eggs, eggy bread and sometimes fresh figs from Marthas garden, all in all a superb hotel which I have no problem in recommending.

Room Tip: Rooms 201/206 first floor, rooms 301/306 all over look the swimming pool.
