5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2012

I would highly recommend this hotel and can confirm that all comments on friendly service is 100% true. The travel company had booked us into the wrong hotel (Artemis, Perissa) and on our first night we were having to sort it out with a very unhelpful travel company. The hotel let us use their phones, were really helpful and even gave us a glass of wine each saying it was our holiday and it wasn't right that we were having the arguments. The hotel is basic like all Greek hotels, but it is very clean, lovely heated pool, very pretty grounds, nice powerful showers, wonderful views of the sea, aircon in rooms and really friendly owners. It's a 3 minute walk to the beach and bars so nice and quite. I would definately go back to the Artemis - 100%!

Room Tip: Choose rooms overlooking the pool as you can see the sea if you're on the first level.

Really enjoyed this hotel. Location was superb, quiet but very accessible to Kamari beach( 5-7 minute walk), to buses (to Fira), and in the midst of lots of great restaurants and shopping!!

Staff was friendly...go Eleni and Kostas!!! Rooms were clean , breakfast pretty good.
Would definitely stay here again!!!

We just returned from Greece (September 4 to 13th). We had the pleasure of spending 3 nights at the Artemis Hotel.

We were greated by Kosta who was friendly and a wealth of information.

The hotel is a short walk to the Kamari beach (which has a lot of restaurants and markets).

The hotel is short distance by bus to Fira (1.60 E) and Oia (which has an amazing sunset).

I would highly recommend this hotel for the following reasons:

-Staff (Kosta and Elena)
-Pool/Courtyard
-Close to the beach, markets and restaurants
-Clean rooms (ours had a balcony)
-Short bus ride to Fira and Oia

My only recommendation would be to have more options for breakfast (maybe a hot item) but it was adequate.

We would definitely stay there again!

We had a lovely time. The room faced the pool, had an adequate size, was super clean. The staff was very friendly, breakfast ok (yes, it was the same every day, but enough: greek yogurt, cereal, coffee, bread, cheese, jam).

The pool is sensational, as it has a lot of trees surrounding it, so you can choose a lovely shady spot.

The aircon works, but the settings don't really make sense, so sometimes the cold air blows too much.

Room Tip: Choose the pool side, it's more quiet

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for a week and the service was just the best. First we got a room on the bottom floor so we asked if there were any other rooms available; we got shown 4 different rooms. Thats just really good service! Also we got help with booking restaurants and help calling for cabs. But not only did we get that, she also looked up different alternatives that she thought we might enjoy!

The rooms were a bit small but for the money it cost it was well worth it.

Also the pictures on this site truly does the hotel justice, it might even be a little bit better in real life :)

Yes, the rooms are small and the marble can last for centuries, but the place captures the essence of Greece's islands. Artemis is on the main road that accesses the rest of Santorini, has its own pool and a short walk to the beach establishments. Elaina, the owner's daughter and hostess, is kind and considerate as well as hard-working. She suggested Alexander's for dinner and we were not disappointed. The food was great. So were the Ozu and desert. We went back several times. Mama's House in Fira was good too. Art Space, an art gallery and winery, is close to the hotel, just a few miles, and at another closeby winery we brought home a delightful preserves called Sweet Tomatoes. Again, the preserves were the essence of Greece. Don't go home without a jar of Sweet Tomatoes! Indeed, in Houston at our annual Greek Festival I was unable to find this 'essence' of Greece among the many Greek products for sale.
