“Absolutely Amazing and Unforgettable Experience!””
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2014

I was very pleased with the warmth and personal touch of the team. Girls are so lovely! Sterlios is amazing as well.
The hotel has a nice modern design. I loved white interior with pastel color touches here and there. The room is always 100% clean. Greek jogurt is delishios. It is only 10 minutes from the beach side. I was so glad that they have a sister hotel Bellonias villas on the beach. It is just spot on. Loved every bit about this and we were allowed to stay free of charge there on the beach. Really great extra to the stay. We had a lot of advice on where to go and what to do. It was really helpful. Aggi and Dimi on reception they a such a pleasure to be around, they are willing to advise on anything and have a chat.
Dora is the bar tender and serves the best drinks and very smiley like everyone.
Aggi keep up your brilliant laugh, we waked up with it and went to bed:) :)P)
All people on Island are extremly nice. We get to know so many locals and made some friends. I loved every second of our stay at Fira and Oia. Imerovigli and Firostephania are the best to have a long walk. We loved having a romantic evenings in the open air cinema that is just 7 minutes from the hotel. Would advice enyone with a car there to go up to the monastery to watch the sunset or watch the lights on the night island. I cannot say enough positive things about this hotel and the staff here - rarely do I ever write reviews on tripadivsor but not this time :)exceptionally warm and friendly hotel team. I hope i will be back soon. I was crying like a child when leaving the island. it made its magic on me.

Such a perfect location for the hotel, beautiful island and wonderful staff. We hired a car for a week and then a quad bike for 3 days, hiring a quad is best, you get to see ALL of the island and go down the dirt roads without concern. The cleaning lady comes in every day and does a wonderful job, Stellios the night watch man comes in to work a wake night, he is an oracle of information, Dora 'the explorer' is the bar tender and serves the best smoothies, the chef for the lunch time specials is amazing, tasty chips and club sandwiches and also manages the breakfast table which is perfect to start the day and last but by no means least Aggi and Dimi on reception they a such a pleasure to be around, they are willing to advise on anything, they manage the smooth running of the hotel perfectly and their personalities are absolutely fantastic. We will be definitely going back to see the staff again. Thank you so much all, Aggi keep up your brilliant laugh, we love it. It will be on face book! And bottled for sale in the UK Love Nigel and Gail

Room Tip: We had a room on the second floor facing the pool, no sun in the evening keeping it cool, not noisy...

it was our first time ever in Santorini/Greece and we had a difficult time on deciding on a hotel to stay at, but coming across these reviews - we could not say no to staying here and Hotel 28 totally exceeded our expectations. The Hotel might be a little (10 min) walk from the beach in Kamari but the outstanding service provided by the Hotel 28 Team/Family truly made the walk worthwhile. They got to know us by name on our first day and even helped us to plan our itinerary for the day with many helpful suggestions along the way. From us meeting Stellios on our late arrival on the first night to get oriented to the island and hotel to meeting the rest of the team and the group being with us when we left on the last day - the team really made this trip memorable. When I got sick on the trip, they were quick at finding me medical attention and directed us to services right away on the island so that I could get better right away and my partner and I could enjoy the rest of our stay. The hotel is located on a more quiet street allowing us to enjoy the island without the loud hustle/bustle in other areas on the island. the pool area was really enjoyable and the floating bean bags were a lot of fun to just relax on during the trip. additional towels were never an issue with the team. the breakfast had a good selection of meats/fruits/dairy/bread/fruits/juice for a hearty breakfast/brunch to start and day and walking to the bus stop in Kamari was only about 5-10 mins. Dimitri, Aggi, and Dora were always around at breakfast offering to help us with arranging transportation/itineraries/suggested restaurants and nothing was ever too much to ask for from them (they even offered to help us with our baggage on the last day to help us load things into our transport!). even when we had questions late at night when preparing for the next day, Stellios was always available for us. they team always looked at making the stay the best experience possible for their guests and knew all their guests by name and where they were from!. even the guests at the hotel were a lot of fun to get to meet and share ideas with! The rooms were large and spacious and clean and comfortable - everything that you could ask for while you were away with a great view from the patio.

I cannot say enough positive things about this hotel and the staff here - rarely do I ever write reviews on tripadivsor but this unforgettable stay and exceptionally warm and friendly hotel team and family has convinced me to write a strong review for this hotel. All the wonderful things listed about this hotel on this site were absolutely true. We will definitely be coming back the next time we come back to Santorini.
Thank you Hotel 28 for making this a highlight of our Europe Trip!!

We have recently returned from a 2 week holiday, staying at 28 boutique hotel. It was perfect from the minute we arrived. Aggi, Dimitri, Dora and Stellios made our holiday so memorable, we felt like we were staying with old friends. They truly are warm and friendly people, nothing is too much trouble and they are more than willing to help or advise in any way they can to help make your holiday as special as it can be. Our room was cleaned every day by the friendly ladies who worked so hard. The room was comfortable and spacious with everything you would need in a hotel room. The pool and bar area was so relaxing with the large beds and amazing floating bean bags. I can't praise the staff at 28 enough for making our stay so perfect, we came with our 7 year old daughter who absolutely loved it too. We will definitely be back soon. Well done to all at 28, you are doing an amazing job :)

It is very difficult to add to the amazing reviews this hotel already has, all of which are more than well- deserved! You are cared for from the minute you arrive by the wonderful girls- Dimi, Aggi and Dora. The attention to detail is quite beyond belief. Nothing is too much trouble, but more than that, they are all so attentive without being intrusive. Despite working incredibly hard and for very long hours each day, these three girls manage to put their guests first all the time. They also treat everybody the same, giving time to find out if dinners, trips and tours have worked out well. They are constantly around, ensuring that the service is exemplary. In addition, Stelios, who cares for the hotel all night, is constantly ensuring that everybody remains safe and sound. He is very caring indeed, always cheerful and is extremely helpful.
We had a wonderful two week stay here, made even more memorable by the friendliest, kindest, most caring service you could possibly wish to have, all in a spotlessly clean, fresh and typically boutique environment. This was indeed, a unique experience, exceeding all expectations.

Room Tip: Go for a room overlooking the pool, preferably on the third floor.

Our stay in Santorini was supposed to be 3 days... then 4... then 5. Such is the draw of this beautiful island.

We chose this hotel because of the TA reviews and reasonable price. We were not disappointed. It is indeed a small boutique hotel with a staff who care deeply for the happiness and comfort of their guests. I cannot begin to list the niceties we were afforded during our stay. All good. Wonderful people!

Our room was in the back of the hotel (3rd floor) --- which I recommend. You get a beautiful view of the mountain and countryside. There is one negative though. The hotel abuts a farm ---- which has a rooster who lets you know that morning is approaching. Not a big deal for us. And each night we went to bed with our patio doors wide open ---- to enjoy the cool Aegean night breeze.

Also of note, the hotel's hot water system is taxed a bit between 9 & 10 AM. Probably because of everyone rushing to shower at the same time.

Room Tip: Back for quiet and view. Front for socialization and pool view.

It may not be immediately apparent as to why this hotel is the very best. The rooms are a good size, comfortable beds and air conditioned. The pool isn't huge but there are very comfortable sun beds offering shade or sun positions. The breakfast is OK but is the same every day. Spend a little time with Aggi and Dimitra and you will soon find out why the reviews are excellent! You feel like you are being given the privilege of joining their family for the duration of your stay. We have travelled extensively and never had customer service like this. Santorini is one of a very few places that we would return to. Hotel 28 will be the top of our list when we do. Forget about the beachfront and have the experience of a lifetime.

Room Tip: avoid ground floor room opposite pool WC
