We have just returned from a week at Boutique 28 in Kamari and have had the most amazing time. We completely agree with the other comments about the staff - Agi, Dimi and Joanna made this the most special time and really went the extra mile to ensure that everyone had a great holiday. Agi's laugh brightened our day every morning! It was my birthday while we were there and the girls went out of their way to make this a really special day for me. The pool area was lovely with double sunbeds and floating bean bags, which we loved. The hotel was peaceful and about a five or so minute walk from the start of the beach and restaurants. The breakfast was simple, but enough for us - the greek yoghurt with honey is particularly delicious. We loved Santorini and really enjoyed the sunset cruise. We were very sad to leave and feel that we have left a little piece of our heart there - we can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: I'm sure all rooms are lovely. However, pool-facing rooms have the morning sun, while mountain-v...

The hotel is made special by the wonderful staff, Aggie, Dimi and Joanna. They know your name from the first day and are always friendly, cheerful and very helpful.
The pool area is very pleasant, people like to bag a sun bed but since they all wanted the sun and we wanted the shade it wasn't a problem. We were there in September and perhaps it was quieter, there was always room for everyone and we often swam alone in the pool. The food area was in pleasant shade and the food simple but good.
People have mentioned the noise and I think it depends on the luck of your fellow guests. We heard people come in on the first few nights but then it went really quiet.
We liked the position, it was nice to have a walk to and from dinner. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the sea front.

Room Tip: We were on the back with a nice balcony on the ground floor. It might have been nicer to be higher w...

we only stayed at hotel28 for two nights before travelling on to other islands, Everything the other reviews say about the three lovely girls that manage the hotel is so true, they greeted us by name when we arrived and we felt like old friends after just two nights, they are a real asset to the hotel and i'm sure that is why they will get so many return guests. The hotel is spotlessly clean and pool area is good, I loved the pool bean bags. we travelled independently but If you are looking to book a week or two in kamari & can book this as part of a package holiday ( i,ve checked out the prices) then you will definitely be getting good value for money as its hard to get cheap flights to santorini.

Room Tip: our room faced the back of the building, but was a really good size, & very tastefully decorated

This was our second stay at Hotel 28 but not our last - we have booked again for next year. The hotel is an ideal base for a relaxing holiday but the fantastic staff are the main reason for going back - they are all so friendly and helpful. The pool area is equipped with great double sun beds and the pool bar area serves terrific food - try the chips. The rooms are standard but very clean, with the hotel just a 7 or 8 minute walk to the beach and tavernas. Don't hesitate, book it you'll not be disappointed.

Room Tip: The rooms with a mountain view are very quite. There isn't a restaurant but the pool bar serves...

Hotel 28 is located on the outskirts of Kamara village about 10 minutes walk from the beach and well away from the noise and bustle of the beach front area. The swimming pool is clean and surrounded by 16 double sun beds. This should be ample for 28 rooms but some people still insist on going out early to reserve a bed. Five of the beds are in permanent shade whilst the others are in the sun either in the morning or afternoon. There is a pool bar open all day selling drinks and snacks at typical Kamara prices. The garden area is small. There is plenty of space for parking.

Breakfast is a buffet of fruit, cereal, scrambled or hard boiled eggs and either bacon or small sausages plus bread and toast, cake, fruit juice tea and coffee. It can be eaten either inside or out on the balcony.

The rooms are a reasonable size, painted white and nicely designed with a sink in the bedroom and the shower and toilet in the bathroom. The wardrobe has plenty of clothes hangers and shelf space for clothes. The air-conditioning is effective and quiet. All 28 rooms are in a single block on three floors. The ground floor is partly below ground level. Views from rooms on one side are of the pool and the other side of a small holding (farm). Unfortunately the concrete construction does transmit any noise and the door locks seem to be designed to make it impossible to lock or unlock without making a noise so overall it can be a bit noisy.

Most guests seemed to be on their second, third etc visit. I suspect the reason for this is the three front of house ladies, Aggie, Dimi and Joanna who are always cheerful and willing to do everything to make your stay a happy and memorable one. Thank you girls.
