“Lovely Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012

We chose the Toro Negro to eat on our first night in Cala'n Bosch. I had Lasagna which was fantastic and my husband had the mixed kebab which was also good. We ate early and service was good although I noticed that as the time went on people were waiting longer.

“Big meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2012

We had the ribs, so much food, half a portion would have done. Very good service, no way could we fit a second course in.

“One night good, one night bad.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2012

First night we went, three of us had meat dishes. I liked my mixed grill, the two T bone steaks were a bit tough but very tasty. My friend had the special fish paella. We had to wait an hour but the paella was to die for, really really nice. A couple of nights later we went especially for the paella. It was not the same thing. The fish on top was dried out and tasted like cardboard and the rice was a bit greasy. It was not freshly made paella. My friend had had that there and we had all tasted it, that's why we returned. When the head waiter asked how was the meal, cowards that we were, we all said in chorus, "Nice". We should have had the courage to tell the truth but all we did was not return the next night as we had planned.

“Mixed Grill”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

Mine was nice but the rest of the family were less impressed. Service not the greatest as they seemed to forget us between the main course and desert!

“What's happened? Over priced and overated!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2012

We have just spent a 5th summer holiday in Cala'n Bosch and as always have eaten out at the Marina most nights. In previous years we have eaten at this restaurant once or twice during our stay and been pleased with the food and service, although we have always felt it was slightly overpriced for what you actually get. So this year we went back.......and it's probably the last visit we will make! The food itself was quite nice although nothing special but the service and attitude of staff were dire! I can't see why they are so full every night to be honest. They greeted us...sat us down at a nice table....gave us menus with a smile....and then we obviously became invisible!!!!! We spent the whole evening either waiting for something or desperately trying to attract somebody's.....anybody's .....attention! When we finally ordered food we waited at least 45 minutes for it to come...no acknowledgement...no sorry...no staff coming anywhere near us! I'm not one to make a fuss...but I was just on the point of putting money on the table for drinks and walking out when the food finally came. The food was hot and edible......and then came the long wait again! We eventually managed to get someone to bring us a dessert menu...and then put on our invisibility cloaks again! We only stayed waiting because our teenage boys LOVE desserts on holiday but by 10.45 even they had given up the will to live!!! Then we had to painfully extracate a bill out of someone. In just over 2 hours we had managed 1 drink and 1 main course each! The most galling thing was that the only people who appeared to be successful at attracting attention were those who could shout loudly in Spanish. I would have thought that we were just unlucky but friends at our hotel said that the night before they had sat down at this restaurant...been given menus.....and then waited 40 minutes for someone to come and take an order...despite trying to attract their attention.....so in the end they just got up and walked out...and went to Tropicana instead! Wise move! There are so many other lovely places to eat in the Marina you really don't have to waste one of your precious evenings here.....so my advise is go somewhere else!!
