“Not bad, but not the 2nd best in the harbour at all!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

The main reasons this was only average:

- The prawn cocktail contained about 8 prawns and tonnes of sauce, poor.
- The service was very standoffish, to the point where we felt a bit of an inconvenience!

“Best Restaurant on the Marina”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2013

Have been eating here as a family for four or five years. Always excellent. Great sea food, excellent steaks andalways happy to accomodate childrens requests for pasta/chicken. Staff are very friendly and lovely with kids. Always packed out with Spanish which says it all really. After a hot day on the beach a cold Estrella and some garlicky clams here is just what is needed. Menu del dia looks like great value although not tried it. Can't wait to go back this summer!

“First class food and ambience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2012

Not to be confused with Cafe Balear in Ciutedalla. Undoubtedly in our top three restaurants (see reviews of La Marina and Asedor On Egin) and we ended up eating here 3 times. The staff and the ambience is a little more formal than most but still friendly and the service and food excellent -I guess this comes number one of our three on food. We decided on one visit to try the set menu @ €18.50 which was amazing value. We both started with salads and a huge amount of asparagas and iberian ham in mine and a variety of salad leaves and I think roasted sultanas and great dressinge- not the usual lettuce leaf salad! On main menu then the fish stuffed red pepper starter was excellent and my wife said the clams were superb,as were the fish courses - the grilled squid was out of this world and I had to have that twice! The desserts were also top rate the Tarta de naranja y chocolat highly recommended but my wife decided the Cardenal beat them all! As with the other restaurants the waiter gave first class choice of wine to accompany meals. One little tip if as us you do not want any bread just tell the waiter and you won't get charged €1.1 for a small roll. I guess aside from the set menu it might be considered a little expensive but our dearest 3 course with wine and coffee and starters usually unavailable in UK came to about €95. Can't wait to revisit
