Initially, I was a bit sceptical about this restaurant. It seemed somewhat quieter than some of the others. But as I learned over the week, a busy place is no marker of quality, and so it was with the Tropicana.
The first thing to note is that the menu is large and varied, from typical burgers and pub-like food, to excellent fresh fish and paella. Service was quick, and worthy of a decent tip. As for the quality of the food, I really couldn't fault it: the fishw as some of the best I'd ever tasted, and if you preferred something a little less adventurous you were still rewarded - with huge portions of well cooked, tasty food. Looking at the faces of some of the other diners, I think quite a few were shocked at how much they had to try and eat!
Unfortunately, like all the restaurants in Menorca, your eating experience tends to be spoilt by the smokers who may be 'outside', but whose noxious cloud will still drift your way, depending on which way the wind is blowing. This was the only negative though. Definitely recommended - and good value.
