“Very Quiet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2013

Stayed here in May 2013, and have to echo other reviews..its a bit dated and basic but very very clean, staff are very helpful.
Pool bar food is good and well priced.
we asked for, and got a room at the back, which gets sunshine on the front patio in the day, and sunshine on the patio in the afternoon at the rear.
self catering is very difficult, so plan to eat out.
But best thing is it was very quiet, with lots of sunbeds available.
would highly recommend this place for couples, although the bungalows have single beds.

Room Tip: I prefer room at rear near the fence, sunny all day! we had room 329, would recommend this one

stayed at the fuertesol buglows in caleta de fuste. on the 28 april 2013. for 11 nights. really clean. not 5 star but what you pay is what you get. great pool.all staff a great. cleaned bungalows every two days .5 minutes and you are in the town. no steep hills to climb. will go back again. what a bargain. some people moan.but that's life. they can allways go 5 star and pay5 times as much.beds are ok .sun beds could do with being replaced.but hey.close your eyes. and get a tan. no problems.fantastic value.

Room Tip: if you have children get by the pool then you can see them at all times.

just got back from a two week stay here with two kids and found it excellent value for money.
rooms are a bit dated but are clean and cleaners come four times a week and do a good job. Didn't use any of the cooking equipment as we ate out for all meals but looked enough things to make an easy meal. Pool was cleaned every morning and has a good sized area for kids to play in, the bigger pool was a bit cold but after a few seconds of being in was fine.
The pool bar served some nice food at good prices and the drink prices we very resonable, the girls that run the bar would stand and talk to you and help with any thing you needed.
Location of these bungalows was good for us as a short walk away from the main town and beaches but away from the night time noise.
The noise of the planes was not a problem they start at 7.30ish but never woke the kids up once but they liked watching them through the day.
Anyway nice cheap place to stay with freindly staff and would stay again.

Room Tip: Hire a car

Spent a very pleasant two weeks at this hotel, last week of April and 1st week May. My only faults with the property would be the beds, which were extremely uncomfortable, and had a dreadful mattress protector on, which we had to remove after a couple of days due to the noise they made when moving position during sleep and the heat they created!
Also, the complex would benefit by having a security guard on site, the reason being it would prevent idiotic drunken yobs from taking an early morning swim at 3.30 in the morning, who created so much noise that they woke everyone up....may have been fun for them but not for us!
I would return to this complex, but next time I would request a room a bit further away from the bar due to the noise generated in the late evening, and the music being played constantly on a loop via a TV channel, although saying that the bar closed at midnight, so it was relatively quiet after that.
All in all it was a very good holiday and we were pleased with almost all of it. Having said that the rooms could do with a bit of an update and the TV was like something from the ARK! :-)

Room Tip: Avoid the room directly in front of the bar.......the noise is deafening and the music repetative.

Fuertesol Apartments are just a short stroll to all the bars/restaurants and another five minutes take you to the beautiful beach. Check-in was fast, apartment was with a pool view just as we requested, this could be very noisy in the height of season as they are just next to the pool bar. Apartments are basic, need some upgrading but this did not bother us as we only needed a bed to sleep in. We ate out every day and night so never used the SC utensils, you would probably struggle to cook for any more than 2 people as it only has 2 rings, microwave, toaster and kettle. The Pool Bar does really nice food and a very reasonable price, staff are excellent and can't do enough for you. Only problem I had was stupid young people jumping in pool at 3.30am and making lots of noise, there did not appear to be any security as the reception closes at 9pm for the night. Would definately return to the Fuertesol as they are great value for money.

We took our hire car (pre booked with Payless car rental) straight from the airport we had printed a map from Google) and it took just 10mins to get to the hotel where there was plenty of free parking.
Check in was friendly and straight forward. As usual reception takes a copy of your passport then hands you your keys and directions to your bungalow. We asked for a room with a sunny patio and that is what we were allocated. It also had a pool view but was very close to the bar and children’s pool so could get quite noisy at times, not the hotels fault but if I go again I would request a pool view away from the bar & kiddies pool.
The room was spacious with a well equipped kitchen area, dining table, living area with a settee that doubles as a second bed and a separate bedroom. It’s all a little tired and there is no AC but is kept clean with maid service every other day. The two single beds are fine although we did remove the plastic mattress protectors as they were noisy and uncomfortable to sleep on. Plenty of cupboard and draw space but only 5 hangers. Spare pillows and blankets can be found in the cupboard if needed. The settee was very hard and was basically hardboard with a foam cushion/mattress which some may find too hard. There was a coin operated TV which was €1 per hour, we never used this but I’m told there you could watch the news and True movies in English.
The bathroom had a sink, bidet and a half size bath with a good shower. Towels and toilet rolls were supplied.
The kitchen had a kettle, microwave, toaster, 2 x hot plates and a full size fridge. Cupboards contained basic items such as plates, tea cups, bowls, cutlery, frying pan plus one large one small saucepan, tea pot, slotted spoon, fish slice, can and bottle opener and a tea towel. No sharp knife but a couple of steak knives which you could just about manage with. We had no problem cooking breakfast and simple meals such as spaghetti Bolognese and chicken curry and rice etc. If you do intend to cook it is a good idea to bring some seasoning, dried herbs, stock cubes etc to add flavour and they weigh nothing in your case.
We found a Dino supermarket just a 10 min walk away, with plenty of free parking. It sold everything you needed at a reasonable price. As well as all the usual tinned and packaged items they had a meat counter with fresh and cured meats as well as a small on site bakery with a good selection of breads rolls and pastry items. If you don’t have a car don’t struggle with water just buy it at the mini market on site, it is a little more expensive but not extortionately so like some I’ve encountered. The onsite bar served inexpensive and tasty bar meals, pizza, chips, tuna sandwiches etc all reasonably priced and good portions. Beer was €2.5 per pint with a glass of wine €1.50. Happy hour was 9-10pm where all drinks (except cocktails) are 2 for 1. The bar opened around 8:30 and closed at midnight. All the staff were friendly but Indie in particular was great with a lovely sense of humour and good English she happily participated in conversation with everyone.
The pool was big and clean but very cold so I only went in on one day when it was a very hot and the cold pool cooled you down a treat so in the height of the season it would be a godsend. The sun loungers were plentiful with a mix of new and old. If you wanted a parasol or fan these could be hired at reception for a small fee for the week. There was noise from landing planes which fly (very low) directly over the hotel but you soon got used to it. They stop around 10pm and start up again at 7:30am, no one we spoke to found it a problem.
The Fuertesol bungalows are advertised as 2 * and they are a little tired looking in places but at around £120 for the week per room you get excellent value for money. We had a great week and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. If you’re looking for a SC holiday on a budget you can’t go wrong here and I would definitely recommend them for a budget break.

Room Tip: Request a pool view away from the bar & kiddies pool
