we have stopped at Caleta Gardens now for several years and never had a bad stay. we have just returned after two weeks and once again no problems ,but oh dear any appliances are now all on a hire basis, seems a bit mean when self catering but I suppose you get what you pay for.
the room was very clean and tidy with cleaners in every day,
all very friendly and polite and helpful .night time shows a bit dated but you don't have to go, plenty to do in the town, sun beds not to good and a bit of a battle to get one at 0900 but that's not the hotels fault just people "saving" them for later. no problems going back there again, a good holiday overall.

Room Tip: try to avoid g/floor studios, they are a bit dingy.1 bed apt very good.

Great service when we arrived the receptionist was very helpful. Our room was basic but very clean. We booked as self catering but after talking to other guests we up graded to AI. I'm a bit fussy but I had no problem with the food. My husband had plenty of choice. The bar and restaurant staff were excellent and did there best to make your stay the best it could be. The entertainment does leave a bit to be desired, a more varied programme would help. There is plenty of entertainment to be had in bars in the area. Getting a sunbed round the pool is quite a problem if you don't rise early, people were queuing for them before 9am. We went up onto the roof sun terrace where we did get a sun bed and they have a Jacuzzi which was great. The beach is approx. a 10 minute walk and you can hire sunbeds there. I would like to inform readers that if they do go self catering you have to hire kettles & toasters. Crockery, cutlery and pots and pans are in the rooms also microwaves. This is a good value for money hotel.

The holiday was a very last minute, budget get away so we went with the package deal. The price was really good so we weren’t sure what to expect but to be honest, it was standard. It was clean enough. The hotel room wasn’t ready in time so we checked in and asked if we want to have lunch whilst we wait… that was fine but I don’t know why other travellers started “kicking off”.
Always lots of food but not great quality (mainly the English styled meals) but the fresh food like salads, fruit and veg (especially the tomatoes’) were lovely. There were a mix of family’s (young/older kids), mixed sex groups and couples. It was nice atmosphere. The pool is rather on the small side, therefore the loungers get snapped up at 9 o’clock on the dot!! In the area its self-there isn’t that much to do other than a few bars. It is generally a sleepy area so during the day you may want to wander to the beach, about 10 ten walk away, to chill out but again there isn’t much to do there other than ride a camel. Service is generally ok. The entertainment was naff; two reps (also the bar staff) acting out Grease within 10 mins and bingo. There was also a “Parrott Show” (as advertised) but in reality it was birds of prey and you weren’t allowed to take pictures though the “trained staff” could do that for you for a “small” charge – when we tried to duck out early one of us were attached by the eagle. If you a no frills, fuss free chilled out holiday where you can just relax then this is the place for you.

We're currently here and go home Monday. After reading all the poor reviews we were worried about arriving but it couldn't be further from the rubbish reviews on here! Its clean and excellent location, right in the middle of shops bars and restaurants, 5 mins walk to the beach. Get up at 9 to reserve sun beds or you don't get one but as we are a young couple we went on the roof which was for adults only and enjoyed the jacuzzi and quiet sunbeds. Food was OK, I'm picky but I managed to fill my belly on something whereas my partner eats anything and he loved it. Staff were brilliant. For the price we paid we are having a much better experience than when we paid double last year in Tunisia. The entertainment was OK if you like bingo and singers/karaoke but if not you sit outside and make friends or go out and find something you do enjoy. Our room was good too, basic but what more do you need? People are too picky by the sounds of it on here, its a 3 star you can't expect the Ritz. Although like mentioned above this hotel was better than our 5 star Tunisia hotel. Ignore the bad reviews and get yourself a good cheap holiday!!

I have no idea where most of these people are staying but I have just returned today from my stay here & I loved it. The staff were friendly, fun and helpful. The WHOLE room was clean. Why shouldn't I rate 5 stars? It was a good location 5 min walk from the beach, good restaurants & shops for surroundings. Good basic entertainment. No point being picky. You get what you paid for & I bloody loved it!

The hotel was clean, our appartment great, staff brilliant, drinks wet, food edible, pool to deep for young kids, but good for adults. All a bit scuffed around the edges but for the price it was great, near bars shops and beach, sun beds if you got one were poor, but you can buy an air bed for 3 euros, most of all it was fun with all the different entertainment and characters we met

Stayed here and on first arriving it looked quite impressive. Room was damp and seemed like a cellar, was very dark and dingy. Had a stomach bug for 3 days of the weeks holiday. In the middle of the night all that I could hear was the echoing of people vomiting!!! I would not stay here again, and by the looks of things the Hotel has not much changed for the better, which is a shame as it is in a great location.
