“Easy to stay here.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

Great accommodation. Nice views from the 10th floor. Arrived about 9pm: checking in, getting the key was easy. Parking underneath the building was great. I particularly enjoyed the fact that you drive straight across from a main arterial route into Broadbeach and you are right there!

Also, it seems to be one of the closest accommodation places to Pacific Fair and Dracula's. Very easy walking distance and it's not worth driving there.

Didn't use the pool or any other facilities. Used the washer and dryer though. Loved the shower. The price was good for the two of us and I would have no hesitation booking there again on my next trip!

Thank you so much for your perfect score Mickey and for using a great medium in Trip Advisor to review us and assist other guests who may be considering a trip to Broadbeach. We were delighted both your ease in finding us and the after hours check-in process impressed you. And a big thank you for your vote of confidence in saying that you would definitely book with us again next trip. We certainly can't ask any more than this vote of confidence in what we have to offer. glad you had a great stay.

We spent 2 weeks here on the 16th floor, it was amazing, the views of the ocean were excellent, the parking perfect. It was clean with a fantastic shower and a kitchen with everything you need if you plan to cook a meal. Want to especially thank the staff at the counter and also the cleaning staff for making it a lovely place to walk in too. The bed was comfortable, the balcony was beautiful to sit out in and watch the world go by. We will certainly be staying here again when we come back. I would happily recommend this to anyone going to the Gold Coast. It is so close to Pacific Fair, Jupiter's, the beach and Dracula's as well as being fairly close to many other places. They have wireless internet at a reasonable price. Has a games room, massage chairs, a pool, spa and a gym, hire bikes. It has a bag weighing machine which they charge $2 for this would be he only thing I could fault, having to pay to weigh your bag. Thank you so much for making our 2 week stay a fantastic one :).

Room Tip: If you want a view of the ocean, ask for a higher room :)

Dear Jaxx, we certainly appreciate your perfect score, but especially on cleanliness and customer service. These two criteria are on top of our list of customer focus and all our team works very hard to make a real impression and point of difference for everyone who chooses to stay with us. The best compliment you or any of our guests can pay us is that you will be back next time you holiday on the Gold Coast and that you will highly recommend us. Importantly, it is through valuable feedback forums such as Trip Advisor, that you get to provide your honest impression of your stay at Ocean Pacific. By the way, the Luggage Weigh machine is provided by an external Vending Machine company and the $2 helps pay for their machine. We would be happy to pay the $2 if any guest makes such a request.
Sincerely

If you have your family with you, Ocean Pacific offers a great place to stay. No fuss, easy parking, great location for going up to Surfer's Paradise, or south to Burleigh area. Do note at the time of our travel in August 2013, the pacific fair across the road was undergoing renovations. Jupiter Casino is also walking distance. We had great view of the ocean from where we were.

WiFi however is not free and needs to be paid...so for those looking to wire in for an occasional email, you are out of luck.

It is always uplifting to receive such a high rating on the key performance criteria, so thank you for recognising what we have to offer. we were especially delighted you had a great stay. In terms of Wifi, yes we are aware 'free' Wifi is becoming the norm overseas and could become the expectation here in Australia. With this in mind we recently made a big investment to migrate the whole building over from cable to Wifi. We now offer several very economical internet plans (similar to public internet kiosks) with a range of download capacity starting from $2.60 for 20 minutes or $8 for one hour. Now we do offer "free" Wifi from our Reception Internet Kiosk for checking emails, boarding passes and doing google searches etc which we are sure will be welcomed by our guests.
Sincerely
Geoff

I spent three nights at the Ocean Pacific with my Aunt, and overall we were very impressed!

We had a two-bedroom apartment on the 14th floor, and the view of the ocean was really beautiful. It was fun to sit on the balcony and watch the tiny surfers in the water far below.

This hotel is in a really good location, you can walk to the beach, to the restaurants, and to all the shops as well. For the price, the location and views are an absolute steal! We didn't meet the staff very often but they were friendly when we did, and though I didn't use the pool it looked nice.

I do have to make a couple of points about my bedroom. I had the lesser of the two bedrooms, and experienced a few problems. Firstly, I am not a tall person by any means (about 160cm) but my feet hung off the end of the single bed. Just about tolerable for me, but would definitely annoy a taller person.

The biggest issue, however, was discovered on the first night when I went to bed early and my aunt and her friend sat on the balcony. They didn't talk loudly, but my bedroom "door" was made up of moving slats of wood - completely lacking in soundproof - and I could hear every single word being said on the other side of the apartment as if they were in my room. I can imagine if this was used as a kids' room (as clearly intended), they would be kept awake by their parents talking or watching TV, even at a reasonable volume.

There was also only one tiny shampoo supplied for two girls in the bathroom, which had two doors meaning we had to come up with an impromptu system of knocks to let each other know it was occupied. And the towel rail was the other side of the bathroom from the shower. Tiny design flaws there.

But everything else about the apartment was so nice (comfortable lounge, great kitchen, location, and I have to mention that VIEW again!) that none of the above would put me off returning. I just hope the management will consider this feedback for the future, and I would like to know more about the bedroom options next time (though we did book last minute at a great price, so there were probably not many options to choose from!)

Room Tip: I'd suggest phoning them up to talk about bedroom options to suit you best. We obviously had a r...

Firstly, we were delighted these guests chose to rate us four out of 5 on the key performance criteria and said "overall we were very impressed". All our units are individually owned and so are furnished according to individual tastes, yet to our high 4 1/2 star standard. Plantation Shutters are a common theme in warm climates because they can also be opened up to welcome in the light and certainly give a relaxed tropical feel. Bedding in master bedrooms are king beds and most often single kings in second bedrooms. It is certainly best when making a booking, to make sure any special requests are noted so that wherever possible we satisfy all guest expectations. In terms of our balconies, we have thick double glass doors with great soundproofing and most times guests would keep them closed. We especially ask guests who choose to smoke, to do so on balconies with the doors tightly closed. Documenting special requests is highly recommended at all times.
Sincerely
Geoff

My Husband myself daughter and her friend stayed here for one week from the 17th July until the 24th July. We arrived early and was able to leave or luggage at the resort while we went over to Pacific Fair which is a stones throw away. The receptionist (unfortunately I did not get her name) was so friendly and welcoming just knew from that moment we were going to have a great stay. We got booked into our room which was a 2 bedroom apartment on the 16th floor the views were unbelievable all that came out of our mouths were OMG. We had spent 4 days previously in Melbourne and the place we stayed was not the best so this was like we had just got to paradise. The unit had everything we needed and the outdoor facilities were superb clean and tidy. My Parents were staying a few streets away they go for one month every year and when they came to visit they could not believe how beautiful the resort was. They are now looking into staying here for some of their regular stay. It is close to Draculas short walk to the beach and Oasis all I can say is it is just fantastic and will definately be staying here again and have told all our friends about Ocean Pacific. It was also very quiet and we all slept very well and were never woken by any noise. Thanks for a great stay.

Room Tip: Great view from 16th floor

Went to the Gold Coast for the AFL Blues v Suns and booked 3 nights in a 2 bedroom apartment. We were on the 15th floor and enjoyed great views of the ocean & enjoyed our stay that much we decided to book a fourth night as well. Waking up to nice sunny mornings enjoying a bit of exercise firstly then casually having breakfast out on our balcony. Our daughter (& us) enjoyed the pool, spa, sauna etc, very clean & inviting. Think we will make the game an annual event & invite some friends along next year so look forward to staying again in approx 12 months. Overall very happy,Ocean Pacific is clean, quiet, friendly & walking distance to everything Broadbeach has to offer.
Cheers, Chris, Alison & Laura.

Room Tip: Book direct with the property to hopefully get a better deal.

It was a real delight to welcome our AFL Carlton guests to our Resort. We very much enjoyed having you with us; it was just a pity Carlton walked away with a win over the Gold Coast Suns. We certainly had our hopes up after our great win over Collingwood. It certainly gives our whole team a real boost when we get a 'perfect score' on all the key performance criteria. We are proud of what we offer and consistently strive for. When we know we have hit the mark (pardon the AFL pun) and our guests return home relaxed and elated about their trip, we know we have succeeded and pumps us all up to maintain our very high standards we set for ourselves.
