Description: The Baglio Curtosa is a seal dating from the beginning of '800 , was born primarily as a feudal beam belonging to Baron Hernandez . Subsequently, the beam was used as a wine cellar and only in recent years was used as a restaurant , pizzeria and banquet hall . Al Baglio Curtosa, today, you can taste typical dishes of the Sicilian tradition, local wines, all in a unique setting, relaxed and informal. The restaurant, in fact, is situated on a hill, between the green, from where you can enjoy an incredible view, a real masterpiece. The farmhouse has 2 areas: Interior with 100 seats, a spacious and bright room with old stone walls, a stylish fireplace that makes the room more warm and familiar. Outdoors with up to 100 seats, in the courtyard, which gives the opportunity to savor the atmosphere of the ancient Sicilian beams. The Baglio Curtosa is a tradition: a way of knowing Sicily and its people!

“A hidden gem.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2012

It is not easy to locate this gem of a restaurant. Look for the large and lone sign by the road, then go up the unpaved road.
We were warmly welcomed. The owner suggested that we take a set menu for a very reasonable price, wine included. We accepted and were very satisfied. The quantity and more important the quality were second to none. Nick, the owner speaks excellent English and has great experience in the catering business. The staff was very efficient and attended to our every whim.
If you happen to be in the area, this restaurant is a must.

“Excellent food off the beaten tourist track”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2012 via mobile

We decided to try this restaurant during our stay in San Vito Lo Capo to get away from the busy tourist scene of the city. 25 min by car and located just off the SS187 outside of the village of Lentina, we didn't know what to expect as we drove up the dirt road to the restaurant. What a pleasant surprise: a beautifully renovated farm building surrounded by wine fields. We were greeted by the warm (and English speaking) host Nicolas and were seated in a beautiful courtyard. The atmosphere was warm, relaxed and welcoming and perfect for us and our 4 year old son. Then came the food... A truly enriching and wonderful experience. We had the tasting menu with many different flavours from the Sicilian cuisine. It was heaven! We have tried several good restaurants during our exploration of Sicily, but this one ticked all the boxes: warm and welcoming atmosphere, kind and very attentive servers, delicious no non sense cooking with excellent produce - even the table wine was excellent - at a very reasonable price. So if you're looking for the real deal this is the place to go.

“An excellent example of Sicilian cuisine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2012

The restaurant is a converted baglio, tastefully decorated and spacious. Try the set menu, at 20 euros a head it is very good value and provides many delicous courses of traditional Sicilian dishes from the antipasti, to two pasta dishes, two meats (substitute the lamb though as ours was more like overcooked mutton and too tough to eat), fruit, dessert and drinks. The staff are very professional, the owner Nick speaks good English (he ran a restaurant in London for five years) and is very welcoming and helpful. All in all, we found this to be the best restaurant in the area.
