What an amazing place, we didn't have to travel far to be so well looked after. Ann and Gary took our booking at short notice and we were blown away by the Turret Room, I had to take pictures to show friends and family, the meals were just awesome and so was the wine, the view spectacular and that out door hot tub was the cherry on top

Who would have thought Waimate would have such an idyllic location. Great owners and fabulous location. Breakfast superb...got caterers in to provide dinner which did not match the standard of the accommodation...this was the only downside.

Te Kiteroa lodge is possibly one of the best B and B stays we have had. Superb location. Wonderful hosts. Amazing views. Great wine. Well worth the trip inland off SH1. Waimate is a quiet but very friendly south canterbury town.

Its hard to single out any one thing about this fabulous lodge, everything was fantastic! The congenial and so welcoming hosts, Gary and Anne do this historic house proud. We were booked for one night and ended up staying for three. A full extensive breakfast was served each morning by a very bubbly, charming Heidi and on a couple of occasions Gary joined us for coffee and shared his local knowledge. The lodge is steeped in history and both Anne and Gary have had many of the very old photos reproduced and these are hung throughout the lodge. The bellbirds are in abundance and the absolute serenity of the lodge and surroundings helped us to truly relax and unwind..

We were traveling south on route 1 and took a detour in to Waimate to look for somewhere to stay the night. The lady at the tourist office said the lady who was fund raising out side owned a b and b on her winery.
What could be better bed and wine in the same place, and what a place, a beautiful old house with the most spectacular views and the rooms were to die for.
Anne and Gary were charming and made us feel at home and enjoyed telling us all about their lovely property. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice. I only whish we could have stayed longer. This would be the perfect place for a romantic get away.

Room Tip: All the rooms have brilliant views and are all furnished to a very high standard.

Lovely comfortable hotel, bedroom was more than well appointed. Hosts were very welcoming, the food was delicious, both the evening meal and breakfast and the wine was very nice as well. Would love to come back again. Lovely country spaciousness and quiet with an amazing view.
