“Exhibits”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2013

The museum/exhibit was smaller than I expected, and even with the film we saw not really worth the price. Perhaps if the weather had been bad and we'd been staying there longer it would have seemed a worthwhile way to spend much of the day. We didn't see any of the planetarium shows, just the Edmund Hillary movie.

“Stargazing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2013

Our trip to Mt Cook started with the star mountain invisibke behind fog and ended with him emerging like the superstar he is. And also we were lucky that that evening the skies were clear and the stargazing could go ahead. It commenced in the very impressive Hermitage Planetarium with one of our guides giving a very warm and accessible intro to the universe galaxies and the Mt Cook night sky, then it was off to the viewing location near the airport and our two guides showed us various astronomical wonders through high powered binocs and through telescope. It started at 9 and we got back just before 12 so the guides were very generous with their time.

“Great Movies”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2013

It rained the 2 days we were here, so we watched a number of the movies, and such that were available. During a break in the weather we tried to take the trip by boat. But upon arrival, at the boat, the weather turned again and it was not safe to continue. Getting a refund was no problem.

“Very informative”

A great way to spend a couple of hours if the weather is not so good, great history and some excellent little movies to see.
