5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013

We stayed here for one night , got a friendly and warm welcome on arrival ..the photos and the reviews here speak itself for motel ..The motel is certainly the best amongst the motels , we have stayed in for our Nz Holiday .We were really lucky to get the best ones ones .One bottle of milk was provided on arrival and we requested for another one and owner gave us the one without hesitation ..thanks to her nice gesture and hospitality ..complimentary wifi was also provided ..The room had a spectacular view , lovely spa bath, well equipped kitchen ..what else one want ...Definately recommend this motel and would definately go back ...

Very comfortable bed. Good sized rooms and a good basic kitchen, which we appreciated. The rooms were nice and clean and new. Had beautiful views of all the other spectacular mountains (couldn't see mount cook, but there was a spectacular sunrise from our room). Staff were very friendly. Overall, an excellent stay ... wish we could have stayed a few more nights.

This is the 1st place we stayed in NZ, and certainly the best. Great view, great mattress, super clean! We later found out while we continued our trip, there are many hotel/motel in NZ provide great views and location, but not all of them have comfortable mattress!!!

We asked for a remote and quite room, because we don't want cars and people passing by the window. We got a corner out skirt room, and non-obscured view! Sitting in the room to enjoy the breathtaking view is def. unbeatable!

Room Tip: there is no real supermarket in the town, so it's better to stock up before you enter this area...

Great new property in Mount Cook village. We booked online and several days before our stay had a follow up email with additional helpful information (such as reminding us there was no supermarket in the village, and letting us know about the free wifi) which was a nice touch.

The room itself was lovely and well thought out. Big, comfortable bed, massive windows with good blackout curtains, we loved the spa bath in the bathroom and I thought the kitchen was well equipped and we were able to cook our own evening meal there, which was particularly handy as we had a sunset walk in the Hooker valley and were too tired to go out when we go back!

The welcome at reception was friendly and efficient. The only small thing was that this was the only hotel/motel where we weren't offered milk (for teas/coffees). Wasn't a big thing at all and we were able to get some from the YHA shop.

Would definitely stay here again, we were just sorry we could only stay one night.

Hello LittleMrsA and thank you for your great review. We are please you enjoyed your stay with us and that you found your room comfortable and to your liking. We are getting great feedback from many people from around the world. I am sorry that we did not offer milk when you arrived, as the milk is delivered twice a week in Mount Cook it is hard for us to judge how much we need and sometimes run out, Hope to see you here again.

This is an absolutely gorgeous property, even with no landscaping yet (I understand it opened very recently). The front desk staff were very helpful and efficient. The rooms were spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. Free wi-fi is always appreciated. Parking right in front of our room was a unique treat. There are several nice restaurants with good food and reasonable prices, even in this remote area. The star-gazing views at this property were fabulous! My only regret is that we only got to stay one night here! I wholeheartedly recommended the Aoraki Court Motel for a stay at Mt. Cook Village!

A lovely new motel with a stunning view of Mt Sefton. Easy walking distance to the information centre and Ed Hillary Centre. We had a great meal at The Chamois Bar and Grill about 3 minutes walk from our motel. The view out their restaurant window is awesome!

While at Mt Cook village, make sure to visit the Tasman terminal lake (about a 10 minute drive away). There are 2 choices of walks there, both of around 15 minutes to the lake. One walk climbs up the moraine to overlook the lake while the other, much easier walk, takes you to the southern end of the lake. At present there are over a hundred icebergs floating in the lake which have broken off the terminal face of NZ's largest glacier. This is an amazing experience for people of all ages and its free!

I can only echo the most recent reviews. The rooms are quiet spacious and unusually for New Zealand, centrally heated. The beds are very comfortable. Massive floor to ceiling windows show off the mountains. The complex is new and the landscaping is yet to be completed, but that did not matter. We ate at the Hermitage and I've reviewed that too.

I would recommend this place, and I've stayed at all the others.

Room Tip: The higher the room number the better the view.
