“Great coffee!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2014 via mobile

So glad we went here for coffee. It was delicious and the food was fresh despite the excessive amount of trinkets!

“Quirky Cafe.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2014

Came across this cafe unintentionally but am so glad we did. It looks like a second hand shop until you walk in and see the food cabinets and every one eating delicious food. It appears to be a little un organised but the food and coffee come out quickly and the taste is divine. . You can sit anywhere there is a chair or table, in amongst the secondhand wares. Its funky and fun and relaxing. I will definately be going back.

“Excellent cafe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2014

We stopped at this cafe for lunch in April, 2014. The cafe is situated in/with a very well curated secondhand shop.

We ordered sandwiches and soup. The tomato and silver beet soup was just delicious. Home made, tasty and more-ish. The sandwiches were delicious and the coffee very good.

After lunch we browsed the fascinating 'stuff' in the cafe and in the room next door. This is a great cafe with delicious food. The soup was one of the best I have ever had in a cafe.

The only negative was the somewhat brusque service, (from the owner?) at the counter, which featured a kind of death stare when we made an attempt at being light hearted and humorous. Strange! Maybe we are not as funny as we think we are??? The waitperson was very nice though.

Highly recommended.

“Great coffee and breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2014 via mobile

This cafe is a must if you are in Metven, some of the best coffee I have had in NZ. We had the eggs Benny and granola for breakfast, the portions are large enough that we don't have to eat the rest of the day.
The only strange thing was, the person before us used a credit card but we were told we couldn't. Luckily we had enough cash.
