Just stayed for a week at Villa Mozart Podgora booked through Thomas Cook.
Weather wasn't the best for us but did see some amazing thunder storms in the evening although we went for a relaxing week lazing on the beach this didn't spoil our holiday.
As a travel agent I have seen various different types of accommodation but I can say this is the best self catering apartments I have stayed in, spotlessly clean with daily maid service. Nice shower room with soap, shower caps and little saches of loations, large bedroom with a balcony off a wardrobe with pleanty of hanging space, plenty of hangers, and a great living/kitchen area which included a 3seater sofa, tv with satalite chanels, dinning table and a well stocked kitchen with every untensile you would probably have at home.A toaster, 2 ring hob and a Kettle can be found in the kitchen.
There is a lovley lady who is the manager of the the accommodation, she will meet you from the transfer bus (approx 1hour40min). we were allocated apartment 6 up 3 flights of stairs your with your suit case no lift !, but what a lovely apartment with a full sea view from our large balcony it was the best in the block. On showing us around the appartment she explained and showed us how everything worked there was even books to borrow and packs of playing card to use. After telling us about the accommodation she told us about the resort how to get to the beach/shops/resturants and the hotel nearby which has a pool which you can pay a small fee to use and a lift that will take you down to the beach which they don't mind you using, great on the way back! Yes the accommodation is up a hill, not bad on the way down either a slope or nemurios steeps but if you have shopping or your beach things the lifts great.
The resort is a small seaside village a predestrian promanade with the odd shop selling souveriours on one side and resturants lining the other side next to the sea all candle lit in the evenings. Entertainment in the evening is based around going for a quiet meal (we spent between £20-25 a night for two of us including drink) and the odd bar with live music playing.
The Beach is pebbles which we didn't mind but can get a little uncomfotable after a while, beach shoes are a must and can be bought locally for around £4 a pair and make going into the sea much more enjoyable, the sea is crystal clear and the snorkeling is great without going out to far.
We hired a car locally and drove down to Dubrovnik which was about 2 and half hours drive the sceniory was amazing pine forest hillsides great sea views out to the islands and even huge saltwater lakes, you do have to travel through Bosnia so take your passport incase you get stopped we didn't and the country was just as pretty at Croatia. Dubrovnik old town and harbour area were lovely, a little busy but great views and stunning to walk around.
Overall the holiday was great I would go back to Croatia and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the accommodation to any of my customer, friends or family in the future.
