“Great food in a small town.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2012

The service was great even though we arrived about 30 minutes before their scheduled closing, and were told they'd stay open as long as we were there! The Captain's Seafood Fantasy platter was done to perfection, with nothing overcooked and no excess grease. Very comparable to the better restaurants in Charlottetown.

“Too bad...missed opportunity...”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2012

We stopped in to have an early dinner (4:45 ish) at the restaurant last night. It was really hot and we had our two dogs in the car. We noticed that the patio looked delightful. Our plan was to secure the dogs in a shady spot near the truck away from the patio but in a location that we could watch them from the patio. We asked to be seated on the patio and explained our situation. The hostess/waitress snapped that the patio would be closing at 5 so she could not sit us out there. Unfortunately, our hands were tied and we were forced to find another place to eat. It really irked us because the restaurant was empty, it was a perfect evening to eat on a patio and you would think that the restaurant would be willing to open the patio to secure the business on a potentially slow night. We ate at the Albert and Crown Pub and Eatery instead,,,and it was delightful and shaded for the dogs. We are going back tonight!!! Anyhow, we were disappointed that we did not get a chance to eat at this restaurant while in this part of the Island.

“Take-out food at good restaurant prices”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2012

3 in party for lunch.

What was good:
Oyster sliders.
Crab cake. One 5 inch cake. Lots of lifeless fries.

Really bad:
Fish and chips. Overcooked. Lots of fries. Prepackaged little cups of tartar sauce.

Service
Forgot to deliver one of our drinks. Had to ask again.
Cold, unfriendly staff especially older lady at door.

Never again.

“OK”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2012

The location is convenient and beautiful. My boyfriend's halibut was perfect - we also LOVED the local PEI potatoes! My steak (requested at medium) was serverd very very well done, which i returned. However, the fact that they stayed open for us (the hotel manager from next door called when we checked in) was very impressive.

“Don't go there!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2012 via mobile

The worst service ever!!!!!
We never had a chance at the food because we were told the kitchen was running 15 minutes behind then we were taken to a back room to wait even though there were many seats available in the dining room which was more than half empty. Then the door was slid closed behind us as though we were too awful to be seen. We really felt bad for the young waitress who was obviously embarrassed to have to deliver the message.
If I could rate a lower rating we would!!
