Just returned from a week here and had to say I cant complain about much. The weather was great every day (except two windy mornings but still got sunburnt in those times so apply suncream liberally even when cloudy!) and were fed and watered well. Very relaxing week to unwind.
Location is good, v close to airport and on the beach however the wind can make the beach a no-go area unless you enjoy sand whipped at your ankles and sand in mouth - on windy days stick to the pool. The planes flying overhead did not disturb you in the least. Perhaps 10 a day but you dont notice them after a while. Id recommend getting cab direct from airpot for 12 Euros than waiting ages for a huge convoy of tourists going off in different directions. The town of Caletta De Fuste is a 20 min walk from hotel with bars and restaurants. Pretty nice place but too far to venture nightly. Next door to hotel is a supermarket and some nice clothes shops in a mini mall.
Food and drink were absolutely fine. In fact sometimes really delicious. Best All Inclusive ive been to in terms of choice and quality. Cant really see how someone can complain with the vast choice! Those opting for just B&B may find themselvs stuck for easy lunch choices so going AI is the best option even if you eat out a couple of nights. Note for men - you must wear full length trousers in the evening or you cant have dinner. My boyfriend only took one pair of trousers preferring smart 3/4 length shorts but they wont do so pack a couple of pairs.
Rooms are fine, completely adequate and there are two English tv channels showing sport and news so is fine for your needs when on holiday
Clientel were 70% German, 20% French/Italian, 10% Brits so there was not much interaction between people. This is fine but I found myself wishing we were at a packed Brit resort from time to time just for some easy conversation. Everyone respectful and there were no issues with pushy or rude people like some reviews mentioned.
I would just add that this is quite a slow paced and classy resort in my view with very few people aged between 18-40 unless they had children. It caters very well for the SAGA group, those wanting complete relaxation or familys.
Entertainment is in need of updating. The animation team is small and do their best but there are only 3 quick activities all day (archery, volley ball etc) and that is not enough to entertain. If the weather is poor you would be in dire need of something to do. There is a show at 9.30 each evening. The majority is corny and typical of a resort but again, I needed more. Found ourselves reading alot!
I cant complain about anything at all in detail and had a wonderful time. Just thought it was a little lacking in atmosphere, even simple music by the pool would help.
We hired a jeep to explore the island. Very easy to navigate and you can reach top of island to bottom in under 2 hours so well worth doing one day.
Pool area was very nice. 3 pools and one was so warm it was lovely to frolic in. No need to get up early and reserve loungers, plenty for everyone although sure they will be in demand in mid summer.
Overall a fab hotel and resort but solely relying on weather being good.
