“Nicest in Mazunte”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013

Pros: Friendliness of staff. A clean pool with a jaw-dropping vista. View from our room's terrace balcony (number 8 on second floor). Access to San Agustinillo beach (which we liked better than Mazunte or Zipolite ones).

Cons: Breakfast is decent but should be included in the room's price. Or at least a basic version of it. Also, some of the drinks seem slightly overpriced for a B&B.

Overall: Preferred the vibe of Mazunte area to Huatulco. Casa Pan de Miel brings a resort-quality experience to the small size and friendliness of a B&B.

Room Tip: Stayed in room number 8 and were very pleased with it. The room itself is nothing extraordinary but...

Dear EasilyPleasedDude,

Thank you for the time dedicated to this message and your nice comment.

Regarding the breakfast, we already thought about that option but we also have many guests who go out on touristic tours very early in the morning and who don’t have the time to have breakfast at the hotel…that’s why we decided to not include it in the price of the room. And we’ll probably find a way to please everyone in the future.

We’re glad you liked your experience and we hope you’ll be back soon.
Un abrazo from Mazunte.

If you are looking for serenity and perfect hospitality this is the place for you. I could not find a single way to fault Casa Pan de Miel. We had just finished 6 weeks of non stop travel, living in hostels and really felt the need for some R&R. Anne and her team have built a beautiful hotel in an idyllic setting. This place runs like a well oiled machine but it is highly personalised. The rooms are beautifully kept, everything you need is catered for. They have menus for most restaurants in surrounding towns. If you like one, they call a cab for you and you get driven there. They provide amazing breakfast with home made marmalades, banana and honey bread. I guarantee that once you see the view you won't leave. The infinity pool is quite spectacular.

This place truly deserves two thumbs up and asks nothing to those crowded, impersonal, "high end" resorts. Our host was always available, always helpful and made us feel at home. If you go to Mazunte, you gotta spend AT least one night here. Couples will fall in love more. If you have a senior that's not able to walk very well, you might wanna consider another stay, other than that wonderful.

From the moment we walked in to Casa Pan de Miel we were left with mouths open. Everything about this place is perfect. I'll start with the staff: Anne, the owner is a wonderful French lady who speaks 4 languages, has great knowledge of the local area and will share anything you need to know. Stéphanie doted to our every need and looked after us from the moment we set foot on the property. The views: are made of things you dream of. The open air reception/ dining area looks over the pool and the sea, so you wake up with breakfast and this incredible view. Everything is open, so you never need to miss a ray of the abundant sunshine. The pool is as the closest thing to the ocean on this cliff, so you can spend your afternoons submerged in a pool whilst looking at the boats going out on the ocean far below. It's breath taking. Our room, one of the suites, was very large with 2 double beds and big balcony with a hammock and a kitchen and bathroom area. This is the largest room we had in all of Mexico. Our biggest decisions here were if we should spend time in the hammock or by the pool. It's a tough choice. Breakfast is amazing, fresh fruit, homemade banana bread and pan de miel, cereals, fresh bread, homemade jams- just incredible. The place is run with a lot of love and care and you can really feel it. From here on in I will think myself back to Casa Pan De Miel when I feel the need to relax. If you need time to relax with some of e worlds loveliest views- come here. Even if you don't, come here too. Just come here!

Pan de Miel is an outstandingly charming and romantic place, I fell in love from the minute we arrived. Every inch of the hotel was neat and tidy, the room was snuggly warm and confortable. My favourite spot was the pool, from there you can enjoy a marvelous view into the sea. The kindness and amiability of Anne-the ownwer- and crew are remarkable, always attentive to detail and helpful. Thanks to Pan de Miel, our staying in Mazunte was just perfect. If you want a magical place where you can spend some romantic quality time with someone you love, this the place to go.oohh! food is amazing :D

Casa Pan de Miel is as idyllic as it looks and as soon as I arrived I was gutted that we hadn't booked for longer as I felt extremely relaxed and comfortable. The location is gorgeous, with panoramic views, without an eyesore in sight, and it's cool and breezy when it can be very hot and muggy at beach level. The service is great and attentive yet inobtrusive, the breakfast is vast and delicious (the Pan de Miel was a highlight) and the whole set up is very tasteful in a wholly understated and unpretentious way. Of course, the real highlight was the infinity pool, which is as magical in the day as it was at night after a strenuous walk up the steps from the beach. San Agustinillo is a lovely beach, but Mazunte isn't as nice as it was 10 years ago so we spent most of the time at SA, where you can bodyboard, swim and relax. Would love to go again some day...

Room Tip: We had room 5 at the top, which was very private and had fantastic views

The most hospitable, classy and idyllic place at the coast, great service, warm hearted owner and delicious breakfast and snacks. Amazing pool. Very clean and comfortable rooms with a breathtaking view. We planned to stay three nights - but finally enjoyed it so much that we extended our stay by 4 nights. I HIGHLY recommend it.
