“Expected more”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2012

We were recommneded by friends who said this was excellent, not sure what they had, but we did not think so. Called in here on way back home from a few days away. Were only ones in there at first as was early evening. Owner took our order, he seemed more bothered about what was on his phone. A lot of waiting staff hanging about, looking bored, only another couple of tables were taken by the time we left. Had poppadums whilst waiting to decide what we wanted, they were nice and selection of chutneys/pickles were Ok, as expected. Had lamb tikka to start which I must say was nice, but no more than that. Then had chicken as main course which was hard, chewy and tasteless. I do not like hot curries, this was a medium one, but really I cook better at home. Should have sent it back, but was just hungry and wanted to get home. Rice was very sticky as well. Husband had lamb rogan josh and he said his was alright. Naan breads were very nice though. Decor really needs updating big time, looks like an ex-pub inside with all oak beams and horse brasses, not what you expect in an indian restaurant. Would I go again or recommend? probably not. Need to tell my friends their standards or taste buds need raising.

“flavourless, spice-less food”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2012

if you like Indian food, not burnt, with flavour and spices, don't go here, i even rang them to tell them it was rubbish, the boss told me to try again, i didn't want to spend any more money to find out it was rubbish, he told me " we're obviously not up to your standard so go some where else" i was so taken aback i hung up the phone, i won't be using them again, maybe i'd have got better service if we'd sat in, this order was a take away, i have tried them at least 3 times over the 7 yrs they have been here and my view is they have gotten worse, never ever again, i'll travel 14 miles to llandrindod in stead

“A Birthday we'll always remember - cant wait to go back!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2011

We went here for my Dads Birthday on Bonfire night, as curry is his favourite dish! Due to this I was a little worried encase it wasnt very good but thought itws somewhere different to go!
The service may not be 100% attentive, however we like having our own space and not being made to hurry our meal and enjoy the night and each others company! So we were more than happy with the service.
The food is AMAZING! Great flavour, Great natural colours - Bright red or yellow food dyes here! :o)
This place is SO good, we are making it our new local take-away, and when my parents come again they have already asked if we can go back!
Do not judge a book by its cover! It looks tiny, and random from outside, but it truely is fab x
