Having holidayed in Kent recently, my wife and I spent a lovely day walking in and around Dover. We stumbled across this Tea Room just in time for lunch, and it was the highlight of our week.
The Manager (and chef) Michelle prepared us the most fantastic home-made rustic sandwiches, all from fresh ingredients. There was a wide range of different teas on offer, which was extremely refreshing as my wife is not a fan of caffeine, and some of the cakes/desserts on offer were to die for. Not to mention the home made jars of pickle and chutneys that we bought to take home with us. when we left!
The next time we are in Kent, we will be making a point of organising our walking day around lunch here, which is easy, as the setting is fantastic. Its a two minute walk from the sea, and there are classic Kentish hills and dales to explore in almost every direction!
Suffice to say, getting back up the hill after such a wonderful feed, and with our bags full of tasty souveniers, was not quite as easy as getting there in the first place!
There are not enough places left like this these days. Well done to Michelle and her team, keep up the good work!
