The service received was excellent from start to finish. I had the trio of Scottish puddings for starter and really enjoyed it. This was a decent sized starter and a good taster for things to come. There was plenty of choice for main courses and I finally plumped for chicken filled with mushroom. This came with an adequate amount of peppercorn sauce and was a really nice dish. Having previously had the pate to start followed by another chicken dish, I can again vouch for the quality of the food on this occasion. I had eaten here as part of a hotel package deal, but trying to remember the menu I would say you are talking about £40 for a two course meal with a drink. The mains are all approximately £11 with starters just over the £5 mark. I have not tried desserts, but remember they did have a decent selection on offer with plenty to choose from.
