Description: Racing's North Turn is located on the beautiful Atlantic ocean. We offer a 5000 sq ft Oceanfront deck with and air conditioned inside dining room. The restaurant sits on the exact location where Nascar ran it's first sanctioned Grand National race in 1948 until 1958. The walls are lined with vintage photos of racing days gone by and our current racing heroes of today. We offer a full service bar with great views of the ocean and over 25 flat screen televisions with all you favorite sporting events. Each night we have Live music that starts at 6:00 PM.

“Had a great time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013 via mobile

First place we ate on our trip as some others told us how neat it was. Cool old racing car out front. Great outdoor seating area overlooking the ocean. Favorite dish some fried shrimp with a spicy sauce on them. The stuffed mushrooms were also excellent. Fish Reuben and monte crisco both good as well. Fair price and good service.

“Average food but good racing history”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013

I was in Daytona Beach in January for a buddies golf trip. We stopped at the North Turn two of the nights for the steamed shrimp and fish tacos. The steamed shrimp was pretty good and was spicy, but I liked the steamed shrimp better at Charlie Horse in Ormand Beach the next night. The fish tacos were okay, but the grilled fish was shredded which was kind of off putting. It tasted okay. It just didn't look as appetizing as a complete piece of fish.

The racing memorabilia was interesting that is displayed at the entrance to the restaurant. I didn't realize that the cars were so small in the early days of racing. I particularly liked the old black and white photos of racing on the beach, especially the aerial shots. The North Turn is worth at least one visit during a trip to Daytona Beach.

“family tradition”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013

We vacation in Ponce Inlet every year and always have 2 or 3 trips to this restaurant. It is directly on the ocean and you can dine on the deck or inside in the shade. We have a casual lunch
here and have been here for an enjoyable dinner. The sandwiches and hamburgers are excellent.I always get the Grouper sandwich. It is simply a great casual place to go and all of our friends have enjoyed it.

“Fish rueben”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

A fish rueben sure did not sound appetizing until I tried a bite of a friend's during one of our visits. I was immediately sold and have been ordering ever since. Delicous fish with yummy sauce--large portion.

“Great view and atmosphere with cute servers.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013 via mobile

Friendly service with a great ocean view and motor memorabilia. The food was hot and generous in portions, but only average in taste and quality. My cheese burger was rare in spots, although ordered well done. My wife's shrimp dish was undistinguished from the other seafood at the table. The bathroom was small and filthy. Makes you want to eat there?
