We visited this hotel in June 2004 for one night on a choir tour. I had read that hotels in Santa Maria degli Angeli (which is near Assisi) were not very good, but this hotel exceeded my expectations.
It has a sleek, modern interior with an excellent restaurant. Our room was perhaps slightly larger than average for Italy. The layout of the hotel is a bit odd, making it difficult to locate our room. Also they have an unusual card-key system that requires you to insert the card into a slot inside the room to operate the lights.
Service was very friendly. Internet access on-site, but expensive. Nearby cafes, gelato, news stands, gift shops and markets. The church of Santa Maria degli Angeli is just one block away.
