This is our second stay at the Marillia and again it was as good as the first time. The rooms are really nice and clean (cleaned very well every day with new towels and sheets). The gardens are beautiful and well looked after. The pool is very good - just the right size. The bar is good and Gelu and Lowra (I think that was her name - sorry if it is wrong!) who looked after the bar, breakfast and snacks were excellent.

Again Liana and Maria were brilliant hosts and very helpful with everything we wanted. We were welcomed back with cakes and a bottle of wine - it is very nice to be remembered.

It was a Bank Holiday in Greece when we were there, so Liana's family gave all the guests a free barbecue which was very good and enjoyable.

Just as I said in last year's review, this is the best place we have stayed in Greece and we would really love to go back again.

1st May. We went back for a second year as we enjoyed ourselves so much last year and we had another wonderful holiday. Liana is so helpful and friendly as are all the staff. The complex is very well kept . The accomodation is very clean and clean towels every day are a real treat. The pool area is a great place to relax with a good book. It's lovely to sit and chat to other guests over breakfast in the morning especially when it's warm enough to sit outside. The pool bar serves the most delicious meals all day, all freshly cooked by a very friendly man (whose name I cannot spell!). The same man is very entertaining in the evening if you go for a drink in the pool bar before going to bed. He knows lots of tricks and jokes. The bus stops right outside and takes you into Thira from where you can get a bus to other areas of the island. It's a lovely stroll along the beach road into Perissa where there are many very good tavernas. We can't recommend Marilia Village enough you must go and see for yourselves.

“Great week at the Marillia Village”

Marillia Village Apartments and Suites

We have just returned from a week at the Marillia Village. The staff are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. We had a studio for two, it was kept very clean. The whole complex was beatifully landscaped.

We travelled with Porrtland Holidays, if you are thinking of doing any of the organised trips, I would recommend you shop around, the Marillia can organise most of these for you and they will be a lot cheaper.

There are number of good Tavernas close by and all of them were reasonably priced and good food, especially if you like the Greek cuisine.

The bus stop is right outside of the Marillia and you can easily get to Thira for 2 euro's (on the way you can soak in the stunning views of Santorini) or get the bus to the main part of the Perissa resort.

I would recommend the Marillia Village and look forward to returning one day in the future.

“Fantastic Week”

We have just returned following a wonderful week at the Marillia Village. The apartments are very traditional in decor and are kept spotlessly clean and tidy, and the staff in the hotel could not have been more courteous and helpful. We found Perivolas itself to be an excellent base for exploring the island of Santorini. Perivolas itself is a small, quiet and peaceful resort and the Marillia Village apartments are about a 2 minute walk from the beach. The pool area was relaxed and not too busy during the day and there were no problems getting sun loungers by the pool. The pool bar serves snacks all day and in the evening. The menu is admittedly relatively basic (i.e. salads, pizza, club sandwich) but the food was great. The Greek style salads in particular were excellent and very refreshing at lunchtime in the heat. Breakfast at the hotel was continental but there was plenty to eat and we certainly enjoyed it.

Liana at reception was fantastic- we booked a sunset cruise, car hire, and moped hire directly through Liana and could have no complaints about any of them. She also recommended the Taverna at Pyrgos for an evening meal (a taxi journey away) and this was exceptional- so much so that we went twice- and is highly recommended. The apartments and the hotel turned out to be exactly as they look on the web page and were every bit as nice as we had hoped. We would have no hesitation in returning to this hotel for a peaceful and thoroughly enjoyable holiday.

Absolutely brilliant stay - we were given a studio room which was ensuite and included a kitchenette and view of the pool. They organised a taxi to and from the port (approximately 15 minutes drive) and a rental car. Our room was very clean and the breakfast was well varied. The location is also very good - Perivolos is quieter than Thira (Fira) but the resort is less than a 5 minute walk from the black sand beach/
resturants/minimart.
