This was our fourth visit to the area. I'd say that Anglers Cove is at the bottom of our list in terms of our satisfaction. We stayed in unit 102.
Location is great - right on the beach and near convenience stores, restaurants, etc.
Pool area is nice but pool water was very cloudy the entire time we were there - something about cloudy pool water that just kind of creeps me out and doesn't scream "refreshing." I didn't use pool for this reason. Pool area was packed.
Hot tub was very large and comfortable.
Room was run down, carpets felt sticky/dirty - in fact, a short walk within the unit left your feet dirty. Beds were very uncomfortable and the bedding was cheap and scratchy, pillows were so worn they provided little cushioning. Bathroom was well-used and I don't think they had washed the bath rugs for at least a couple months.
Kitchen cabinets were sticky and kitchen was not stocked very well.
When viewing the unit on vrbo they showed a picture of the beach and indicated beachfront but the picture was zoomed from the balcony which was definitely not beach front. By the time we figured this out it was too late to make a change - we had already given them our deposit.
The condo is very big with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms - that setup is generally good. The unit just needs to be gutted and redone.
AC looked to be original and there were stickers on the thermostats to not turn temperature below 74 - i'm assuming it's because the 20 year old HVAC unit can't handle that. I don't know about you but I prefer to set the temperature to my comfort level.
In general, this felt like an apartment I would have live in while in college, not a vacation condo that I now go to enjoy with my family.
We would not return here.
