“comfort of home cooking and funky surroundings :)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013

I've been to this lovely café many times for breakfast and it is always yummy! The baked beans are awesome. Blueberry pancakes stuffed with blueberries. Endless freshly ground coffee. Excellent and friendly service. Very picturesque surrounding in Wallace Bay on the Northumberland coast of Nova Scotia. So warm and funky. Beautiful artwork for sale on the walls. I bought a fabulous door wreath made of drift wood, sea glass, shells and rope and seaweed. Nice, nice nice. Thank you to the staff. Open early for breakfast until 2 or 3pm. Lunch served as well and I'm sure it's just as delightful.

“Bright, Cheery, Colourful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013 via mobile

Nice atmosphere, great service and excellent breakfast. Unexpected gem. Eclectic, artsy friendly vibe. Fair prices for sure, and a nice view too! Worth the drive. I don't hand out 5's lightly. Considering location, this place earned them. Well done.

“Hidden gem - simply awesome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

This would be a great cafe for anywhere, in any city.
The fact that it is in a small place like Wallace makes it that much more special!

We went there twice over the course of 4 days. After the first time, we knew we were not going to find any better restaurant food for the trip. The lobster roll and chowder were awesome!

Bonus was that after our lunches, we just walked down to the adjacent wharf to buy lobster for our dinner as the boats came in.

“Home cooking with flare!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013 via mobile

A quaint spot right on the ocean with an amazing view. Pleasing works of art grace the walls. Excellent home cooked meals with a little flare. Do not drive by as only open for breakfast and lunch.
